Well, no magic can raise the dead, but it could reverse a poison, so why not a near-fatal wound? That’d make a lot of sense.

LOL, I too was thinking of Princess Bride earlier….only thinking that if we get the Killian backstory I really feel like it will be like Westley & Dread Pirate Roberts – he’s been giving me that vibe all season.
I really want to see that he was more of a farm boy but maybe bored by it or something so went off to seek adventure, or was kidnapped by pirates and eventually took over the crew. I’ve often thought it would be a lovely parallel to Charming (one of many) but not sure we’d get actual “farm boy” just because I don’t think they really want him to be TOO close to being Westley, but I could totally see it.
BUT I can see why the SwanFire people are the “death cannot stop true love” thing for SwanFire so it goes both ways.
Personally if one wants to argue that Hook and Milah were true loves (and I do believe he loved her greatly) then that would work too since he spent centuries trying to avenge her (not the fact that he lost his hand, but that his love was killed) I could see that working for him as well. (Not to discount him loving again as I still believe the setup is there for CaptainSwan as well; after all Daniel told Regina to love again so it is possible to love again in the OUAT universe. I also haven’t counted anybody as true love until they’ve been put through the TLK breaking a curse test / product of true love test etc, but I can see why some would think that regardless).
Either way….I think we can all agree that we love two things regardless of which side of the ship we’re on:
1) Tallahassee
2) Princess BrideAs for the powers of Lake Nostos – that would be an interesting tie-in. I’m not quite sure what it’s powers are at this point, it seems to vary. Hmm…
