Yeah, the Queen of Hearts isn’t even in “Through the Looking Glass”. The Red Queen and White Queen are essentially chess pieces and the whole story is one big chess match.

    So for the Alice stories:
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland: Deck of Cards
Through the Looking Glass: Game of Chess

I still think Alice might become a stand in for the White Queen if her arch enemy in the show is the Red Queen. She could end up ruling the White Queen’s realm with Cyrus and trying to take down the Red Queen. It would be better than introducing another character as the White Queen, and we all know how much A and E love their mash ups.

Ah, I remember the days when I was speculating that Snow’s mother ended up as the White Queen, instead of actually dying. Then they had to go and poison her and show her dead body. Spoilsports. 😛

Off-topic, but I’ll be very giggly if at some point the Red Queen turns a tower into a golem:

Yeah, that’s my nerd side showing. Carry on.

Boy, I thought the fairies had some impressive cleavage. 😯 Seriously, that’s the first thing that stood out to me.

I’m going to have to go back and reread “Through the Looking Glass”. I’m more familiar with the first book, but the second has the Red and White Queens in it and I remember actually liking the second one better, although I was frightened by the Jabberwocky in the tv miniseries from the 80s when it was on. That’s probably still the truest version out there, despite the all-star cast and the singing. I recommend anyone with Netflix to look it up and watch it. I think it’s about four hours long.

Josephine, your mentioning both the Jabberwocky and impressive cleavage in that post reminded me of Jack. If we see her again, I’ll bet it’ll be in the spinoff, not on OUAT. Maybe as payment for slaying the Jabberwocky, the RQ gave Jack one of her wonderbras. 😛

I said this way back in Tiny but I have a feeling Jack was lying about her Jabberwocky incident. I suspected that Alice had done the slaying and then Jack betrayed Alice and took all the credit. If we see her again, I hope it’s only for one episode. I really didn’t like her.

That’d totally be in character for Jack. I’d like to see that! 🙂
