I think Emma is holding a gun, not a sword.

A blade without a hilt isn’t much use though, which is why I think it’s more gun shaped. I don’t think there is anything hanging down from it, just something behind it in the background.
I think it is a sword the same one that Emma has in that tweet from Snow.
I don’t agree. That sword had a very long blade.
It looks to me like Emma is holding an old-fashioned pistol. You can see the rounded barrel in her hand.

The blade Emma is holding in the Twitter shot is longer than whatever she is holding in the Hook/Emma shot, I agree. I suppose it could be a pistol. Pirates might have carried them later in time if it is Hook’s. It could be his father’s who might be the Navy Captain.
