I’m having issues with the timeline if all this is true.
When Jefferson gets back to Rumple in The Doctor he says the slippers have moved on (that he’s heard of, I don’t think that’s true anymore)
But Regina isn’t as powerful as she will be. She’s still learning.
So if the WWW took the shoes off Dorothy around the same time that Jefferson was in Oz looking for those shoes (maybe he lied to Rumple about them leaving because the WWW is really scary?) then Regina can’t have been the “Evanora” figure who turned Theodora wicked.

There are some really talented people out there.
But it’s not. Hasn’t been released by ABC anywhere. They wouldn’t release a poster of the new big bad until they take care of PP. One arc at a time.

In glancing around Tumblr I’ve seen some interesting (and t-word headache inducing) theories that perhaps the WWW is also Rumple’s mom making Malcolm/Peter Pan the wizard (con man) that broke her heart turning her green. We don’t know who Rumple’s mom is but she was gone for some reason and perhaps she too had an affinity for staying young like the man who destroyed her, Malcolm.
It’s an interesting thought at least! The season has focused rather heavily on the Stiltskins this year with Rumple backstory and Rumple/Neal working on repairing their relationship. I’m torn because I thought we were going to split it kinda between the sides of the family tree for Henry, but it’s an intriguing idea nonetheless. Perhaps we’ll focus on the past for the Rumple side and on the future for Snowing if they have a baby.
It would connect the new villain to Henry (likely), explain more of why the family is the way it is, give opportunities to address the “mother” situations that seem to pile up for the Stiltskins, and perhaps a young (and nice originally surely) WWW is where Rumple got his good side from only to watch it be torn apart. Goodness knows Malcolm wasn’t helping anything but Rumple still grew up to be a good man until the Dark One stuff. I could see his mom being someone who loved deeply and was devastated and then lashed out because of it. It would be similar to Cora in a way where she took her own heart because she couldn’t take the pain. Only in this case, it would turn her green and give her control issues.
Not sure if it could possibly make any sense whatsoever but the speculation is fun until we know for sure! Just thought I’d leave this here in case people hadn’t been seeing recent speculation from tumblr on the issue. Headcanons and fanfics are fun too even if they’re wrong about stuff on the show when it airs!

My current headcanon is this:
Mader’s character is Theodora from Oz the G and P (because Watcher has convinced me). The “Evanora” character is Cora. Cora corrupted her and turned Mader green and wicked. Then Cora vanished leaving Theodora alone when suddenly Dorothy came to Oz. In our version, Theodora actually WON against Dorothy and took back the slippers. This is when Jefferson came to Oz looking for them but was so scared of Theodora that he decided to lie to Rumple about the slippers having been moved. At some point, Regina goes to Oz and meets Theodora and when Theodora learns that Regina is the daughter of Cora, seeks revenge on her. I think Regina probably went to Oz to get something for the Curse (maybe the black diamond). Theodora was unable to find Regina for 28 years because of the Curse but now she can move between realms once more using the shoes. She also now has a bright green pendant that keeps her young and beautiful.

As far as the ruby slippers go, it’s possible that they’ve transported many different people between Oz and our world, one of whose journeys was Dorothy’s.

Lots of wonderful theories going around! I agree RG – I’d like him to have one nice parent too but it *could* work if they wanted to go that route because it would parallel him nicely: big heart, loves deeply, and turns evil for a bit. (Mostly I’m just curious about his mom right now – did she abandon him? Did she die? He was alone with Malcolm and then sent off to the Spinsters. I’m curious!)
I do however really really like the headcanon you laid out RG and I’m loving all the speculation!

I just made a post and it didn’t appear so I’m not doing it again v.v but anyway, Cruella COULD be threatening… If they give her a reason to dislike animals and want them dead. I am reminded of this old Stephen King movie where this incestous mother and son were hated by cats and cats could kill and always attacked them. They were apparently the last tow of this monster race of vampire-cat-animorphs 😛 So if Cruella is some kind of animal like creature herself who can be detected and harmed by other real animals, she’d want them gone right? Maybe wear them as a warning to other animals. Maybe if the others caught on to her, she would want to try and akin them alive and wear them >> I firmly believe this is the wicked witch now, but still
