She could also be Cruella De Vil. Eddy & Adam said at New York Comic-con that they had plans for Usula, Rapunzel and Cruella down the track (but they never said this season).

So far we have seen Ursula. We got the Rapunzel announcement yesterday. All that we need now is Cruella…

They start talking about it at 17:54.

Lisa mentioned in the chat that Rebecca could be playing Cruella de Ville! Would be interesting, and as Matt said in the chat, the actress is British!

At NYCC, Adam and Eddy also said that they would like to add Cruella into the mix at some point, too.

    Precisely!
    -Ursula: Check!
    -Rapunzel: Check!
    -Cruella de Vil: coming up!

Plus, we’ve had Pongo in the mix since the pilot! 101 Dalmatians would be a welcomed and much adored episode! Now all we need is a Perdita and her owner…a love match for Archie perhaps! 😀

Cruella is a possibility. But how can she be a villain to our heroes when her story rests on trying to kill animals?

I don’t think Cruella could be a big enough baddie. This next big bad is coming hot on the heels of Pan, so they’ll have to be at least as powerful as him, if not moreso, otherwise they’ll look pretty pathetic. Even without considering the after-Pan factor, I don’t see how Cruella could be a big enough bad to sustain a compelling story for a whole half a season.

The bigger question might be…what does she have against our cast? With whom does her history lay and what’s her issue with our heroes?

Deceptive Witch has a sordid history with Sneaky Fairy. 😛

It makes me wonder if she’ll be on set today and that’s why ABC gave them permission to post the news now before set photos got out? She’s obviously filmed already if she’ll be in the promo in 10 days time. I don’t see why they wouldn’t have kept her a secret until it aired if they could have.

Quite possibly! You’d think they’d have kept it under wraps until the promo if they thought it was doable. That’s probably why they announced Chris Gorham’s casting when they did as well. “Well crap, photos of him got leaked, might as well make it official.”

I agree. Curella is more or less a one off villain. Unless they change her story radically (which they could do) her real threat is sorta isolated to one thing: animals. I don’t know how you make an entire season (half a season) out of that.

An article from TVLine about this new role.

“Something wicked this way comes” is a reference to MacBeth, said by the witches. So I’m going to guess that whoever she is, Mader is going to be making her first REAL appearance in 313.
