Maybe she is Morgan Le Fay from King Arthur legends…I mean they already referenced Arthur Once go full on in season 3 .2

I would be thrilled with Morgan Le Fey.

I like this idea a lot. I thought it was said by A&E early in S3 that we’d be learning more about David’s family so this could tie into things pretty neatly. I’m on board!
#MoreBOOMLessGloomInteresting! I’m extremely curious who she’ll be. I’m inclined to agree though that they did say “iconic villain” so I’m not sure about the idea of turning someone like Glinda evil unless she’s both? My brain hurts.
I am inclined to think it might have something to do with Oz though because of the wording in a lot of the articles. It definitely sounds like she’ll be featured in the promo for the second half of the season though.
Not sure how any of the “iconic villains” sound like they’re going to be worse than Peter and since it’s coming straight off the Neverland arc it needs to be something big. That’s the one hesitancy I have against Cruella because I’m not sure what her story might be that would stretch several episodes.
Then there’s the fact that it’s likely she shows up in 3×13 which is called “Witch Hunt” so I really am leading more toward Oz right now.
More on Charming’s family….well we are supposed to be filling in some more gaps on the family tree. Unless Snow has twins, I imagine at least one character will be already related to someone and Charming would make sense. We know very little about his dad or what happened to him (supposedly died but we have very very little to go on with that), and other than Ruth and James, we know so little about his family to begin with. He never knew his brother, we don’t know how old he was when his dad died etc. I wonder if we’ll get more of Ruth in a flashback of some kind and how she connects to everything. We know so little about her as well except that she got her special pendant from a gypsy.
Perhaps over this hiatus I’ll get around to reading the Oz books. They’ve been public domain for awhile so they can do basically whatever. They just can’t use stuff from the movie (which is different from the book) because that’s MGM stuff. (It’s why I was so annoyed that Neal mentioned ruby slippers because Jefferson only said slippers, and in the book they’re silver – they can’t use the red ones. It was a throwaway line to give a nod to what he meant but they won’t be able to use the red ones).
We should definitely know who she is in the promo but if she is someone from Oz, I imagine they’ll take advantage of using a lot of references from the books for her arc since it’ll be something most aren’t familiar with. They love to make us do homework, don’t they?
We’ve had so many references to Oz stuff before that I hope we get it sometime soon! I’m pretty sure we won’t be sending a group to Oz, but if she’s in the EF and they somehow end up there, or if she was pulled over with the curse, then she’d be in their area and we’d get flashbacks for her story that are actually in Oz so that could be awesome.
We know that Regina has some idea about Oz stuff because she mentioned that too much magic can turn one’s skin green, and Jefferson was sent to Oz by Rumple to fetch the slippers and brought back an orb instead, but I’m curious as to what is still there, what it’s history is, etc etc. as well as when it all takes place in her story. If she IS the wicked witch of the west, how was she not defeated if Dorothy had already used the slippers to leave? So many questions!

I think it could be Cruella or maybe the Snow Queen. Maybe A&E did acquire the rights to Narnia with nobody knowing so the new actress could be both the Snow Queen and the White witch.
Since the show wouldn’t dare show Cruella attempting to kill dalmations like Pongo, maybe Cruella specialises in Magical creatures which she kills and uses for her nefarious purposes.

My own personal headcanon is that Charming’s father was a knight of the round table and left to marry Ruth. But before he died, he taught David how to sword fight and the chivalric code. Going off that, my first guess is Morgan. (and if it is, everybody should have to read the Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. Because I said so)

A new villain is coming to Storybrooke. According to E! News, Rebecca Mader has been cast to play a “major” villainous character but the identity is being kept under wraps. The source said Mader will appear in the second half of the show and could appear on “multiple episodes.”
During New York Comic Con, executive producer Adam Horowitz revealed that several new characters would be added to the season including Ursula, Rapunzel and Cruella de Vil. Since it was recently announced that “The Originals” star Alexandra Metz will play the long-haired Rapunzel, and Lana Parilla (who plays Regina Mills) will also play Ursula, fans are speculating that Mader is going to be the Dalmation-stealing Cruella.
Fans are also speculating that the “Lost” actress could be brought into the show as the “mother” of Rumpelstiltskin or the Wicked Witch of the West. Unfortunately, fans of the show will have to wait until Dec. 15 to get a glimpse of the new character during the winter finale and will be introduced to the new villain in March when Season 3 returns for their second half.
Now personally…I think the chances are greater of her being Cruella De Vil! She just has that class about herself, and we don’t know how they may spin Cruella’s tale…she may be a sorceress from the EF who had an obsession with fur. This is Adam and Eddy’s take…heck, Peter Pan was Rumpelstilskin’s dad, you never know what may happen!
