Oh I see ^^ Looks pretty from what I can see of it =)
We did? I had no idea. Dang, I wish I could have gone to that, it would probably have been amazing. I assume you’re from Germany then?
Yes. 😉 You say Iceland is behind? A media group bought the rights for Once a few weeks ago, but there’s no release date or channel yet. Plus, they always dub the series here. <.< I hate not watching in the original language and there isn't a sap button here either. :| This is getting a Harry Potter feeling … People from all over the world talking about and obsessing over one show. 😀
Usually they’re more behind, for example my sister is watching the first season of Merlin on TV here while I watched all 4 of them before they even started showing the first x.x I guess people were just lucky that OUAT got bought that quickly, they’re still like 5 episodes behind I think.
And dubbing? O.o That’s just wrong. I mean, I’m just against dubs in general unless it’s meant for kids, people should just frickin learn to read!
lol yes, bringing the world together ^^
Ha! I know!! You’d think that in a globalised country like Germany they would manage to just subtitle, but no. =/ The worst part is, that it’s not only tv, but also cinema … Luckily, there are one or two cinemas who’ll show some film in the original version, but only in the bigger cities. But there’s hope, demand has been rising these past years. Especially since people have come to realise that many of the jokes just get lost …
Just watched Hugo the other day and that translation wasn’t bad (my friends didn’t want to go to the English theatre =/). Then again, it’s not a funny film.
Jokes are usually lost in translation it seems. We have everything subbed besides movies for kids, although since we usually get stuff from America it happens occasionally that we get a movie that’s dubbed into English and then we throw Icelandic subtitles on. It’s a rather odd experience to watch like that XP
Oh, Hugo is really good, don’t you think? I loved the setting and the colours and everything ^^
Absolutely loved it!! Haven’t seen such a good movie in theatre for a long time (as far as I can remember it was last march The King’s Speech). The 3D effects were really good, too. Loved the music.
Oh, I didn’t see it in 3D unfortunately. And not that long since I saw a good movie either, saw the Artist just a few weeks ago. That movie really is amazing.
