SpectatorBecause it wouldn’t make sense to me Bae didn’t like magic so why would he want to be PP and fly around.

ParticipantCompletely agree with you KFChimera. Love your theory.. Thanks
I think Bae is Peter Pan. I think A&E mentioned that no theory is right because no theory is based on the relationship of Bae and the Darlings.
Yes, A&E spent time trying to explain how they think of Bae and the reasons for his actions. I listen to every podcast by A&E because it gives tremendous insights into each character’ s POV for their actions. I think that is why I love Bae so much regardless whatever ships there are… I just want him to finally find home and family. I likes when A&E states that with the Darlings Bae gets to just be a boy and how important it is for a child to feel loved and taken care of. So very true and I think that is why I love OUaT and A&E so much… OUaT is truly a show with the heart and such an epic for any TV show in our life time.
Often it is sad that the viewers think Bae is coward, when the creators mean for Bae to be boy with such a good heart and always sacrificed himself for ones he loves.
Now, off my soap box…
Why does the shadow after Bae? Why does the (dark) magic follow Bae? Is it because he is the Dark One’s child?
Is there trace of magic on him…. Not that he is magical or have magic right Emma? Can Tamara detect it and so she is after him since the beginning?May 7, 2013 at 2:14 pm #191898HappyEndings
SpectatorWhat did Emma say about the dream catcher and NL to Bae does this tie into that some how ❓

I think so. I always wonder that there must be connection.

KeymasterEmma: It’s a Native American dream catcher. It’s supposed to keep all the nightmares out, and only let the good dreams in to protect your home.
Neal: It’s flypaper for nightmares?
Emma: Mmhmm.
Neal: Let’s keep it.
Emma: Yeah, hang it where? The car?
Neal: It’s not much of a home. Maybe it’s time we get a real place.
Emma: Are you saying…
Neal: Why not? We’ve been on the road long enough, baby. It’s time we retire the Bonnie and Clyde act. So, I think… I think it’s time.
Emma: Together?
Neal: Don’t you want to?
Emma: Like where? Neverland?
I haven’t had a chance to listen to the podcast yet, but there’s the Tallahassee quote HappyEndings was looking for.
Listening to the podcast in the next 10 mins and I’ll be back with my reactions. I’m excited. Sounds like a good one!

SpectatorHey, thanks for the quote that is exactly what I was looking for 😀

KeymasterListening to the podcast. Here are my reactions as I listen
—Oliver Twist like kid (we called that in another thread about what Bae was doing for the 6months in London pre-Darling family)
–Shadow and Bae shows up at the same time as Bae did. (this is NOT a coincidence)
–Tip of the NL iceberg (Please don’t go away for the summer. I beg of you)
–NL is assumed to be the worlds greatest place. (Oh gosh, it’s gonna be dark guys. DARK)
–Bae is a hero (I agree I agree I agree I agree I agree. I LOVE Nealfire)
–Lacey brings out the worst in Rumple (my tears….)
–Home Office becomes clear next week (THANK GOODNESS)
–Emma hasn’t moved on (Swanfire feelings)
–Kurt (I think he really is dead. I think this is confirmation. Yeah, Eddy just said it was confirmation for Greg. Kurt is dead but the story is still to be told maybe in the future)
–Henry as scared of magic playing out next season (interesting. Could Henry join NL Lost Boys?)
–Hook’s background (“I’d watch the finale” You’re a troll, Eddy.)"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 7, 2013 at 3:19 pm #191922kfchimera

Bae doesn’t hate magic so much as he understands it has a heavy price. I don’t think he would agree with Tamara that anyone with magic must die for instance.
As to why he becomes PP–as I said it wouldn’t be a traditional Peter Pan who enjoys being a boy on NL. He would be trapped there fighting to get out. The flying around would come about to avoid “setting foot” on NL and being trapped forever by the shadow and whatever keeps boys there. Bae turned to BF for help after all and boarded the JR enchanted boat to save his father who he knew still had the magical Dark One powers.

Just because he becomes Peter Pan, doesn’t mean he wants to be Peter Pan. For example, let’s say he finds some way to attach himself to the Shadow, which gives him the powers and abilities of PP. However, if the Shadow separates from him, it will continue kidnapping boys and taking them to Never Land. (Maybe not the Darlings, but other boys.) So, in order to protect them, Baelfire is willing to have the magic he detests.
Or the Shadow could sneakily attach itself to Baelfire, which might “brainwash” him. Or not be involved at all.
