OMGosh this episode is so heart-wrenching!

I was very dissatisfied with Manhatten because I didn’t get what I wanted from Rumple and Neal’s reunion. You remember how heartfelt his conversation with August was, when he thought August was Bae? That’s what I wanted. Something different, but just as touching. I did not get it. Until now! Yes! And they did it SO WELL! Because Bae didn’t forget all his anger in a contrived tender moment which we never would have believed, he put it aside and showed that he still loved his dad and could eventually forgive him if they had time. Oh, my heart.

And before that was the scene with Belle! OHHHH. THE FEELS. THE DOUBLE-WHAMMY! BOO-HOO-HOO!

    It was great!!!

I don’t think that Neal & his dad compares very closely to the scene with Regina & her mom but I do think it’s interesting that it was one-or-the-other in this episode. Either Neal was going to loose his dad or Regina was going to loose her mom. And if she hadn’t lost her mom, she wouldn’t have had the chance to see how much her mom really loved her. It was so beautiful that she finally saw it and so sad that it ended. But I think if Cora hadn’t died they just would’ve become enemies eventually. The more she rebuffed and betrayed Regina, the more Regina would’ve started to hate her. You think?

Agreed. The only way Regina and Cora could have a good relationship was if Cora had her heart. And there was no way Cora would have let herself have it.
