I think if this is the final season, A&E can and will do whatever they want with no regards to what the fans are requesting anymore. That might be good.
Agree, if they know is last season, they may do whatever they want without caring if the fans see or not the next season.

May 16, 2017 at 1:57 pm #338791PriceofMagicParticipantI think it’s going to be interesting, because it seems like ABC is experimenting with a drama block on Fridays. I mean, “The Inhumans” is supposed to be this big event series, so to see them launching *that* on Fridays with OUAT as its lead-in doesn’t scream “lack of faith” to me.
“Inhumans” is basically exploring the X-Men side of the Marvel Universe, only they can’t use the X-Men or call mutants “Mutants” because of the fact that Fox currently owns the rights to the X-Men. Marvel Studios managed to work out a deal with Fox for AoU in regards to Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver (since they’re Magneto’s kids) but Fox has the domination on Quicksilver (hence why he was killed off in AoU) but Marvel Studios has the right to Scarlet Witch hence why there’s only been a vague possible reference to her in Days of Future Past.
I think Once will end after season 7 (the theme will probably be that, as he has the heart of the truest believer, Henry has to believe in something to save all the realms and season would be spent getting him to believe), the move to Friday could be that ABC want to booster their Friday Night ratings from loyal Oncers and also they want to catch the market of people who stay in on a Friday night.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixMay 16, 2017 at 1:59 pm #338792MichaelBlockedBecause it could be universally panned and they would lose their audience within one episode.
A fresh reboot with a fresh story and a fresh cast on a fresh new day could also revive the entire series. Everything is good about that if it does. Optimistically, I am trying to see this as Once’s last chance to stand triumph despite all its mistakes. Getting rid of the cast is a big, edgy move but who knows how it will all work out. This very well could be the most captivating season of OUAT to grace the screen with the most interesting and shocking character arcs.
….No it’s not going to work. Especially not on a Friday night.

Oh okay. Be sure to PM the lotto numbers, I will heed the prophetic words of Michael from hence forth.

The ones who remain I think are the safest bet to watch it all throughout to the bitter end. A lot of people called it quits after the last episode. I think if this is the final season, A&E can and will do whatever they want with no regards to what the fans are requesting anymore. That might be good.
Yep totally agree, and that actually makes me excited.

I agree, as long as they don’t make the mistake of undoing the ending of season 6 I think this might be awesome.
Eh everyone goes on on Fridays at eight especially families. To dinner, to the movies, to a friends house, to an event. Very rarely to people just stay home and do nothing.
Well I must be in the minority or just lead a very boring life. I prefer Friday to Sunday becasue of football and the fact that Sundays we are wrapping up the weekend to get ready to head back to school so they are fairly busy. I also like to be home with the kids on Friday nights so this gives us something to watch.

Case and point. Again, I’m not saying it’s going to save the show, but it cannot hurt. Football and walking dead own sunday nights.

May 16, 2017 at 9:32 pm #338837RumplesGirlKeymasterYou know, actually, putting it on a new night, with a reboot of a show where new viewers can tune in and not feel lost, actually could help the show. It won’t save it but sunday nights were tough for tv, especially with football season.
It will not help the show. Nobody watches TV on Friday nights. They’re out doing anything else. Date night, movie night, etc.
It does, however, mean that the “low” for the show is now even lower. Friday’s are graded differently. Suddenly a .8 is decent.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 16, 2017 at 10:54 pm #338842kranenParticipantIf ABC are perfectly fine with it airing on Fridays, I can’t help but wonder exactly how much of a budget cut the show has been given. Surely they wouldn’t put a show as expensive as ONCE used to cost in that slot on that night. Yikes.
May 17, 2017 at 7:09 am #338845hjbauParticipantThey got rid of Jennifer Morrison and Ginny Goodwin as well as the others. That is a huge budget cut alone. I imagine the new regulars will be unknown actors too like the new Henry.
