How fun is it to talk with Adam Horowitz & Eddy Kitsis before the Season 4 Finale on May 10th, 2015? As always, OUAF shot them our most provocative questions from staff & fans, and Adam & Eddy generously teased as much as they could about the last two episodes: “Mother” on May 3rd & the 2-hour “Operation Mongoose, Part 1 & 2” on May 10th.
With that said, here is our dialogue!

Ah yes. The catchall answer. Everyone take a shot. He said HOPE
Eddy: I can tell you that we will answer that very question in the season finale. We will tell you who the sorcerer is.
Jafar
And will there be any relationship between Rumple and Henry in Season 5? Grandpa and grandson.
Eddy: I hope so! It is his grandfather.
Eddy: You’ll have to see what happens at the end of the finale.
Um. Rumple has been his grandfather officially since 214. Either build the relationship or not. Cause so far…jack squat.
Diane: One last lingering thread is Anastasia from Once Upon a Time in Wonderland and her relationship to Will. Will we ever see Anastasia again?
Just tell us what happened then!

Eddy: We have not, and we won’t this year. It is a story we’d like to tell at some point. It’s just that we didn’t have room for it this year. What the actual crap? What kind of half-butt answer is that????

Availability certainly but I also think they just plain don’t know what happened to Ana. They brought Will over to give Rumbelle grief and because they needed to give Belle something to do in S4B, but without any sort of forethought on how to integrate Will properly or make him and his story relevant. As such, he has had almost zero interaction with anyone outside of Belle (little bit of Rumple and Robin and a few passing moments with Emma and Hook) and in during that time there has been almost less than zero indication that he was ever in WL, ever involved with someone named Ana. Even when Belle had her heart taken and then given back, they failed to make any sort of Will/Ana connection. I honestly don’t think A and E have a story that they’ve thought up and planned to explain why Ana isn’t around.

How long after the events of WP did Cyrus and Alice tie the knot? And were Ana and Will married by that point? I know by the time Alice had her cub they were but hmmm….

I agree. Availability may have been the reason why they couldn’t have shown us what happened, but they could’ve at least had a line saying what happened…….. unless it’s going to turn out that Will had some sort of memory wipe happen to him hence why he doesn’t seem to remember Ana.

Keeper of FelixMay 3, 2015 at 5:05 pm #303561PriceofMagicParticipantWe are going to get Regina’s reaction towards Zelena, and Robin Hood’s reaction to that.
I hope this is where they actually acknowledge the depravity of Zelena’s action. However, there is the danger that this could make Regina look very hypocritical. She wanted to give Zelena a second chance after what she did to Rumple and Neal but now that Zelena has hurt Robin, Regina’s going to be a lot less forgiving.
Yeah, I don’t think it’s realistic to say that people get over something in just one or two acts, or within one episode. For us, we like to explore the reasons why characters are doing what they’re doing.
Really? Because the effects of Neal’s death seemed to be dealt with in one episode then all the characters were over it.

Of course. Because we haven’t had a memory wipe in 4B

It seems as though Alice and Cyrus got hitched almost as soon as WL was put back in order. The epilogue of WL (with Alice and her child) happened a minimum of 5 years later if Alice got pregnant almost immeditely following her wedding. WL took place during S2 of OUAT (even though it aired during S3). So basically there is still time to fix this without it retconning the ending of WL they just need to get moving.
S2 OUAT = WL
S3 OUAT = WL+1 (meaning one year after the events of WL ended…and taking into account the missing year when everyone went back to the EF)
S4 OUAT = WL+1-2 (one to two years after the events of WL ended…probably closer to late 1 year later)
Basically they need to get Will back to WL to marry Ana and become the White King and Queen soonish, but there some leeway timeline wise. Where there is less leeway is in the narrative. It makes no flippin’ sense that Will would up and leave WL nor does it make sense that Ana would fall back into her evil ways after achieving her HEA with Will.
