Here’s a *fantastic* idea
Let’s not single out one ship or one set of fans and talk about how they might interpret something.
Here’s another *fantastic* idea
Let’s all just FREAKING LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
Agreed. To me HOME means a sense of belonging. Where you fit in. Be it with a single person, a family, a place or a even whole community. You can even have more then one home. I think of this forum as a Home because it’s where us Oncers across the globe can get together and discuss this awesome show. Most people think I’m nuts for following this show so closely, trying to figure out every aspect, theme, easter eggs, & characters, but here, it’s encouraged! It’s fun! I’ve never apart of a fandom before but this site has made me wish I had stumbled across it sooner. 🙂
I’m sorry but the arguing about all the ‘ships has got to stop though. It’s tainting the forum. Seems like just about every new thread that has been made lately, even some existing ones, is getting tainted by shipping. I love all ships, even the silly ones like Henry & Cinnabon, and who ever ends up with whom is fine with me, but I keep my opinions about them out of the threads as much as I can so I don’t stir up trouble.
Love who you want to love. Ship who you want to ship. Respect everyone’s opinions though. We have no idea what A & E have in store for us and they are allowed to change the direction & rules of the show whenever they want. It’s their story so just sit back and enjoy the ride.
Sorry. I really love this site. I’m on here all time reading. I’ve read just about every single topic on it in the past 9 months. This hiatus is driving everyone nut. I just don’t like what’s been happening lately on here. I really feel for RumplesGirl & MatthewPaul for having to deal with all the hate, arguing, and having to ban certain topics, even people, because we are unable to control our emotions and words. That has to be tough. Before the past few months, I haven’t ever read where RG has had to repeatedly tell everyone to basically “cut it out” and to show love & respect to everyone. It’s really sad. Makes me wonder if we were able to talk face to face vs through typing, would we treat each other the same way.
Sorry. I just love all you guys. I want to see more positive postings vs negative ones. Hopefully I didn’t overstep by posting this.

February 9, 2014 at 12:50 pm #243952betsypaige24ParticipantI don’t think Hook is dying, but yeah, that was odd that Adam gave that away. He’s explaining himself on twitter……..via this. If true, I guess that explains Gold’s death…..Odd about Belle since they don’t show her often enough to have growth, unless they mean how she deals with things after Gold’s death – perhaps she becomes more insistent upon being a part of things, about making sure that he is never forgotten, etc…
Adam Horowitz quote slightly out of context. We were talking about character growth sayin he wouldn’t go anywhere til he does. Same for NealFebruary 9, 2014 at 1:55 pm #243960SlurpeezParticipantEither Adam just gave away a big spoiler, in which case, he’s really bad at this #nospoiler business, or he is really sly and cunning. Which is it? Time will tell. Maybe his words really were referring to character growth, as he claimed in his tweet. We’ll only know for sure when the season is done.

Eddy: Well Henry’s book, I don’t know. But we feel like the show definitely could put out great merchandise. Adam and I always encourage fan art. We love it, and we love seeing the things people come up with. We always say to ABC, “How come our t-shirts aren’t as good as the ones the fans are making?””
I liked this part about Adam & Eddy love the fan made art & merchandise and are encouraging it. ABC should really capitalize on it before it’s too late. Would love to see a copy of Henry’s book published after the series is over, to include the whole story start to finish based on the final timeline.

February 9, 2014 at 2:05 pm #243962CindersParticipantI’m a bit intrigued in their comment that the book would play a part in the rest of season 3. There are oodles of ways that could play out, but here’s a theory.
In newly cursed Storybrooke, Miss Peridot (WWW) is in a position of power and trust. She’s lovely and everyone likes her. Possibly she’s the new Mayor or teacher. As the town is in an uproar wondering who cursed them, Henry is sitting at an outside picnic table reading The Book while pretending too do his homework. Miss Peridot walks by and they exchange a casual greeting. “Hi, Miss Peridot.” “Good afternoon, Henry. It’s nice to see you so attentive to your schoolwork.”
As Miss Peridot continues by, Henry glances at his book, then quickly glances up. “Miss Peridot!” “Yes Henry?” He sees Miss Peridot transformed to the Wicked Witch. “Never mind.”February 9, 2014 at 2:08 pm #243963obisgirlParticipantBless you @sara-shell-5 for that whole post.
We can enjoy spoilers and discussions, but there is seriously no need to stir up trouble.
February 9, 2014 at 2:21 pm #243966Jenna_BParticipantThe interview came off as just a little fan-girl (I know, the source – it’s going to sound different than Matt Mitovich writing an article…) but she did get A&E to talk so that’s good. They didn’t really give much we didn’t know, except some reassurance that we’ll get some Rumbelle. That makes me happy.
And I like the “Home” theme. As others have said, ‘home’ is many different things to many people and I think one of the best things I feel this show has done is point out that ‘home’ and ‘family’ doesn’t only look like the stereotypical mom-dad-2.5 kids Leave it to Beaver definition of family. My family sure doesn’t meet that definition and I’m betting a lot of people’s doesn’t. I love that Henry can have 2 moms and a dad and it’s not portrayed as odd or unusual, they show it as totally normal, functional, but atypical family, and Henry as a kid who’s better for it. I love that finding ‘home’ is a huge struggle for each character, and emphasis is put on the idea that it doesn’t matter what home looks like, what matters is how being ‘home’ makes you feel.
So ok, A&E, you’re got me intrigued!! Don’t screw it up by sweeping the good character development under the rug for the over-the-top-the-world’s-on-fire-oh-nooooo!!! theatrics!!!

I think at the end of the series we should get a Once Upon A Time encyclopedia which includes maps of Storybrooke and the EF, a timeline of events, and detailed character biographies on every character even if we don’t get to see their backstories on the show. The front cover could be the same as Henry’s book.
All magic comes with a price!

Exactly.

I agree that family and home don’t have to meet the nuclear family model. Family can come in many varieties and forms. Henry’s family is a good example of that. But, it seems like there’s been such a major shift in society that anything “traditional” is sometimes looked down on. What’s so wrong with two people who love each other, and who may have a kid together, resolving to work out their issues because they want to? It seems like co-parenting and divorce have become the norm, so that anything else is almost frowned upon nowadays or sticks out. I’m thankful my own parents have stayed together for over 30 years, and they didn’t just do it for me. They did it because they love each other and made a commitment.
