The Author is starting a new story in the book “Heroes and Villains…”
What will he write? What will he change? And what will it mean for everyone in town?

The question is, does it mean unhappy endings for the heroes? Or just a reversal of positions for everyone on the playing field?

I think it means both. Heroes become the villains and get unhappy endings.

Regina: Gets Robin Hood and her happy ending.
Zelena: Is raised by Cora(also growing up alongside Regina) and finds happiness.
Rumple: Becomes brave and wins the heart of Belle.
Maleficent: Raises Lily.
Killian: ???????
#TeamHeroes
Snow: Becomes Snow Black, new evil queen who probably killed her father.
David: Becomes Snow’s version Graham, parents were probably killed.
Emma: Becomes the new Dark One, and is imprisoned in a tower to keep her on her leash.
Henry: Nothing.

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 3, 2015 at 9:44 pm #303622nevermoreParticipantI think there are two questions that come up with this turn of events:
1) When they say “villains” and “heroes,” whose POV is it? Do they all agree on who the villains/heroes are? Are Rumple and Isaac on the same page, so to speak? For example, what happens to Hook?
Similarly, does the author write something like “and all the villains had their happy endings,” or does he have to write more specifically what happened?
2) What’s in it for Isaac? So he first went with Regina, realized that she wouldn’t use his abilities — she’d do “nothing” as she said — and then at that point skipped back to Rumple. Technically, that scene where Rumple is focusing on the inkwell gave me the impression that without the author’s intervention Rump was essentially a goner. I think the author wrote him back into consciousness with his line “where Rumplestiltskin waits.” What gives?
Is the author simply after a better story, or does he have other motivations beside this? Is he, much like Rumple, addicted to his power?

They shouldn’t be on the same page, just because “heroes” and “villains” are such subjective terms. Look at how Isaac was gushing over Regina, for instance but his disdain for Rumple a few episodes back. BUT for the ease of narrative, A and E will make them on the same page. If you were ever considered a villain (Zelena, Regina, Hook, Rumple) you are now a hero. If you were ever considered a hero (Emma, Snow, Charming, Belle) then you are now a villain.
Similarly, does the author write something like “and all the villains had their happy endings,” or does he have to write more specifically what happened?
Good question. No idea.
2) What’s in it for Isaac?
Yes. THAT.
He mentioned “experimental writing.” What does that mean? What has he been writing?

Isaac said page 23 was something he’d actually been working on. So Isaac must’ve been wanting to give villains like Regina her happy ending for quite some time (until the Apprentice put a stop to it). No wonder Isaac jumped at the chance to write a happy ending for the villains. I think he’s just wanting to be creative, deviate from the norm, tell a better story, what have you. He’s been let off his leash, and now he’s going to have some fun. Isaac is like Puck from A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream.

Based on the promo, I’m pretty sure Henry actually goes to the Enchanted Forest. Maybe he goes there as a spectator or perhaps as the new Author (maybe the Apprentice takes him).
