I love this thread!!
Totally agree about MM’s fashion. A lot of what she wore during S1 came from Anthropologie – I like a lot of their stuff, it’s cute and tends to be a bit different from what you see on everyone without being too edgy – perfect for MM. But then S2 and S3 came along and don’t know what happened!! I was pregnant once too and worked in the corporate world while I was pregnant – I could NOT show up at work looking like I was dressed in a sack of potatoes. I truly don’t understand. There are such cute maternity clothes out there – even if you blow up to the size of a whale like I did you can still find cute and comfortable maternity clothes. In fact my favorite outfit was actually a business suit – it was super soft and stretchy but looked really conservative.
I would kill for Emma’s leather jackets but I don’t have a small fortune to spend. My husband did, however, get me the red coat she wore in S3E1 for Valentine’s Day – he had to track it down to a little boutique in New Jersey to find my size – it appeared to be the only XS left on the face of the planet. I love it and I got so many compliments on it this winter. I actually loved everything Emma wore in NYC except those hideous plaid pants. But I have also liked everything they have put her in. I did like the way they softened her up a bit last season – but I do agree about it being completely unrealistic that she would choose to go after the WW in a skirt. Kind of like how on every crime show the female detective is always wearing 3 inch Laboutins when they take off running after the suspect through the streets of NYC.
I may be the only person who can’t stand the vast majority of what they put Belle in. Probably because I tend to picture myself wearing the outfits and I know no one wants to see my 42 year old body wearing skirts that barely cover my hoo-ha while I titter around in heels that were last seen on a pole dancer – all while wearing a beret to pull the look together. Color me puzzled but I don’t understand the whole “nothing I’m wearing matches” look. But my personal favorite was the Circus Ringmaster outfit she wore when she and Neal were on their quest to bring Rumple back from the goo. That was a OUaT headscratching moment for me but, then again, that was also the episode where Neal was “absorbed” so maybe we just chalk it up to an all around fail.

I remember when I went to community college, I would see girls wearing shorts in the winter time. VA, when it’s cold, it’s cold. It’s not my place to say so, but you get a cold because you dressed in appropriately that day, it’s not my fault.
You wear clothes that are appropriate for your environment and for the weather. Like I’m not going to wear shorts in the winter time. I hate getting sick.
But I think what Adam and Eddie like to do when it comes to Belle, is sort of live out their fantasy’s that they never got. Racey Lacey.
I agree about Snow’s clothes when she was pregnant.
