First bit of ratings news for 3×17 “The Jolly Roger”
ABC had typical overnight results in the 7-9 p.m. block with its combination of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (#3: 3.3/ 6) and demo friendly “Once Upon a Time” (#3: 4.0/ 6)

Based on that first little bit, I’m going to guess that we’ll hit about a 2.2 in our demos. Another steady performance.

My prediction was off by quite a bit. 1.9 is our SERIES LOW. We haven’t dropped below it, but it’s a match for our series low. It will probably go up tomorrow.

ABC Once Upon a Time 1.9 demo 6.25 millions …. down from last week’s 7.26mill …
but for a different interpretation >>>
ABC Sunday Prime (7-11pm – 6.0 million and 1.6/5 in AD18-49):
ABC finished in a near tie for #1 on Sunday with a Masters Golf Tournament overrun-boosted CBS in Adults 18-49 (1.6/5 vs. 1.7/5), beating Fox by 23% (1.3/4) and NBC by 78% (0.9/3).
Please Note: Overall Adult 18-49 TV usage was down -6% from the prior Sunday (33.9% vs. 36.0%). The Net also earned second in Total Viewers, outdrawing third-place NBC by 2.0 million viewers (6.0 million vs. 4.0 million).
Once Upon A Time (8-9pm – 6.3 million and 1.9/6 in AD18-49):
Jumping over its lead-in by 58% at 8pm, ABC’s Once Upon A Time (1.9/6) ranked #1 against its regular competition for the 6th consecutive week among Adults 18-49. The ABC drama was once again the #1 most social broadcast series on Sunday night with 38,302 tweets.

The Masters is not on Broadcast and not direct competition for ONCE.

I assume this came from ABC. You have to look at the whole field. We’re the ONLY hour long scripted show on at 8pm on Sundays on Broadcast (2 reality shows and the Simpsons). So yes, #1 show, but we’re the only one at 8pm
EDIT TO ADD
Just because we matched our series low, there is no reason to panic or worry. We’ll go up tomorrow and syndication is on our side. S4 is a lock, even with a 1.9 this morning.

The Masters was on broadcast (CBS) but ended at 7:15pm est. I don’t know if their post coverage ran into 60 minutes or not. I doubt it played much of a factor though. Ratings were down across the board last night probably because it was the first nice weekend for a lot of the country so people were probably out remembering what the sun is all and what not.
April 14, 2014 at 5:44 pm #261445nonnieParticipantApril 14, 2014 at 8:00 pm #261486MatthewPaulModeratorSeems like ratings dropped across the board that Sunday night, and Once fell victim. Not going to cry foul on viewers dropping the series because of recent plot points till I see these drops as consistent, as it could actually go back up. I noticed the DVR ratings have actually remained fairly consistent, remaining around a 3.2, so I think overall it’s just less viewers watching live.
