Here is the TVbytheNumbers chart. I really hate football.

2.0 ratings share and 6.6 million live views. I keep saying this but it WILL go up in the next few days (RG is trying to talk herself down obviously).

I watch sports shows A LOT,  so I know football is just a monster the compete with. Even other sports like baseball have their numbers just dwarfed. Last night was a pretty big deal as far as football because of certain circumstances that and the game featured one of the two last undefeated teams and the game was really competitive. As long as we do well in the non-sports category I won’t worry

From what I can tell we were the #1 NON SPORTS related show and #2 over all, beating Amazing Race in ratings share. In the half hour between 8:00-8:30 and 8:30-9, the football game gained 5 million live views. That’s…mental. Football hurts us but I think ABC takes that into account. They are never going to win against Football but we did OK considering.

it just varies a lot based on circumstance, this was just gonna be a crappy week because of  all the hype about this particular game. Depending on the team and the stories going in to could be better or worse. Then if a game is high scoring or competitive or a certain fanbase, a lot of different things. in the end knowing what I know about ratings from the sports side of things if we’re number 1 outside of that bubble then I’m fine with that.

I don’t think it was the football game at all, the last couple of times there was a lot of tweeting going on to bring the ratings up. To be honest I wasn’t really impress with this episode but that is just me.

there was a lot of tweeting last night as well. JMO, MRJ, Emilie, Colin and even a few from GOSH were tweeting. #OnceUponAtime and #SaveHenry trended for good portions of the night. You’re putting way too much stock on Twitter though. It is now being used for ratings but it doesn’t have the effect you’re making it out to be. Football had 25 MILLION views. The other shows, not just ONCE, barely scratched 10 million. Sports events always bring down ratings. Especially when it’s a big game like this.

    ABC’s spin machine

ABC Sunday Prime (7-11pm – 5.6 million and 1.4/4 in AD18-49): Opposite NBC’s big Sunday Night Football contest (Broncos-Colts) and an NFL overrun-boosted CBS pushing its lineup back approximately 30 minutes, ABC delivered Sunday’s Top 2 broadcast dramas in Adults 18-49 for the 4th consecutive week with Once Upon a Time and Revenge, outdelivering NFL-assisted CBS’ The Good Wife and The Mentalist. In addition, Once Upon a Time (43k tweets) and Revenge (17k tweets) were Sunday’s Top 2 most social entertainment series on broadcast TV. The Net increased its overall audience for the 2nd week in a row (+4%) to a best-since-premiere number.

America’s Funniest Home Videos (7-8pm – 5.7 million and 1.1/3 in AD18-49): In the 7 o’clock hour, America’s Funniest Home Videos was up 8% in Total Viewers over its premiere the prior week.

    Once Upon a Time (8-9pm – 7.0 million and 2.0/6 in AD18-49): Sunday’s top-rated broadcast drama, ABC’s Once Upon a Time surged 82% over its Adult 18-49 lead-in at 8pm and gained 11% from its first half-hour to its second half-hour.

Live + 7 Day Ratings: On average this season, Once Upon a Time builds 46% over its L+SD number to a 3.8 rating in Adults 18-49 in L+7 (+1.2 rating points). This year’s Adult 18-49 build in TV playback for the show is 11 percentage points higher than the same point last year (+46% vs. +35%).

    NBC FOOTBALL DOMINATES PRIME TIME

At ABC, “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (1.1/3 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall) was on par with last week,

but “Once Upon a Time” slid to a 2.0/5 in 18-49 and 7 million viewers overall for its series low.

“Revenge” held up a bit better (1.5/4 in 18-49, 6.1 million viewers overall), in line with last week,

while “Betrayal” remains low but was on the rise (0.9/2 in 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall), adding about 700,000 total viewers week to week.
