Let’s have some fun with this, a pass around Once/Who crossover fan fiction
I’ll begin………..
It was night in Storybrooke, Regina walked down Main Street. Still furious over Emma bringing Marion back, she needed to clear her head, and the night air wasn’t helping. It was then that she noticed the blue box standing outside The Rabbit Hole. She walked over, and looked at the sign above the doors. It read “POLICE PUBLIC CALL BOX” She was about to touch the handle on the doors when they swung open, and a tall man with floppy hair, a long brown coat fell onto the pavement. She knelt down, not noticing a long pen like instrument fall out of his pocket, she picked it up and studied it. There was a blue light on the end of it. She looked down at the stranger and shook him.
“Are you okay?” She asked. She didn’t expect him to jump to his feet.
“Of course, takes more than a temporal shift to knock me out, where am I?” asked the stranger.
“You’re in Storybrooke, Maine……” Said Regina studying him curiously. The stranger suddenly started to run up the street, he looked shocked. “Wait, where are you from, where are you going” she shouted after him. He stopped and walked back and put both hands on Regina’s shoulders. “Listen, there’s something very wrong happening in this town, I’m the Doctor”
CUE Once upon a Time title sequence with the TARDIS dematerialising in the forest

“Just the Doctor” the strange man replied. He began waving his penlike instrument around the street.
“What are you doing?”
“Nothing” the Doctor answered, putting his sonic screwdriver back in his coat pocket. “I’m starving. Do you know anywhere that does good food?”

Keeper of FelixIn Granny’s, the Doctor was enjoying his cheeseburger, Regina watched him, curiously
“strangers don’t come to Storybrooke, what are you doing here?”
“Fancied a holiday, needed time to think, I’ve recently lost a friend of mine, Rose she was called, bit of a bad business, not quite sure why I’m here, but hey everyone loves a mystery” he took a gulp from a glass of Cola
Regina was intrigued, not much of what he was saying was making any sense, she was still wondering about him when Mr Gold walked through the door with Belle on his arm, the Doctor couldn’t take his eyes off him
“Rumplestiltskin…………” said the Doctor with a hint of fear in his voice
“What ?!? You know him ?, how can that be ?” Said Regina, shocked
“oh, we go back a long way, or is it forwards, I keep forgetting, the Doctor and the Dark One, I don’t see this having a Fairytale ending”…………… Said the Doctor, with a new determination in his voice

The Doctor continued to watch the dark one and his female companion. He was struck by how different this Rumplestiltskin seemed to be. Gone was the scaly skin, dragonhide coats and cruel demeanour. Instead they were replaced by expensive suits and a warmth that seemed only too human.
“Who is that with the dark one?” the Doctor asked Regina, curiously. The Dark one was renowned for many things but companionship wasn’t one of them.
“That’s Belle” Regina replied. “Believe it or not, she’s Rumplestiltskin’s true love”
The Doctor stared dumbstruck. Just then Rumplestiltskin noticed him.

Belle climbed down the library ladder, after putting a book back on the shelf, she had been in the Dark Ones castle for 3 weeks, it seemed an eternity, but Belle loved her books.
After climbing down, she sat on a wooden chair and sighed, thinking about her village and Gaston, when a voice suddenly startled her “last time I was in a castle was England 1066, William the Conqueror indeed, but this castle seems a bit more……..magical than that, what do you think?”
Belle didn’t like the strangers demeanour but he intrigued her nevertheless
“Sorry, sir but have we met before?” Asked Belle to the stranger, standing by the curtains
“My names Smith, John Smith, I’m just a traveller, long way from home, and by the looks of you, you are too? Here, have a jelly baby” said John Smith as he threw a bag of jelly babies for her to catch, which she did. Belle looked in the bag, took out a sweet and popped it in her mouth.
“I’m here to speak to your guardian, Rumplestiltskin I think?, Never thought I’d say those words! molto bene!, I think I can help him”
Belle shook her head “Nobody can help him, he’s a monster”
“Ahhhh now, I’ve seen my fair share of monsters, and faced them down every time, but he has something I want, I want his dagger”
“I don’t know anything about any dagger” Belle told the stranger honestly. “Would you like some tea? Rumplestiltskin should be back soon if you wish to stay to speak to him”
“What’s your name?” John Smith asked.
“Belle”
“Aahhhh” John Smith gave her a knowing look accompanied with a grin.
“What?” Belle asked puzzled. “What’s so funny?”
“Nothing.” The strange man said. “I’m just witnessing the beginnings of a tale as old as time. Please tell Rumplestiltskin, his Doctor is looking for him when he returns”. John Smith began to leave.
“His doctor? Is he sick?” Belle asked the man’s retreating back, a note of concern present in her voice.
The Doctor turned back to face the beauty. “Not at all. It was nice meeting you Belle”.

Keeper of FelixJust as the Doctor left the room, he stopped, turned round and said “Belle, do one thing for me, stay out of the shadows”
Belle laughed “Seriously, I’ve lost count of the shadows in this castle Mr Smith”
John Smith looked at her in horror “That’s what I was afraid of, you see Belle, the darkness holds many things, but light can dispel the darkness, there is darkness in every heart, I know that better than most, believe me, shadows can kill”
He plucked the sonic screwdriver out of his pocket and waved it round the room, he stopped when he saw 2 hideous looking puppets hanging by a string.
“Bet these are a hoot at the Punch and Judy” said John Smith, putting the screwdriver back in his pocket. as he turned to leave, he was shocked to see a hideous scaly skinned man wearing a cravat standing in the doorway
“Well well dearie, nice of you to drop by!” Said Rumplestiltskin laughing and waving his hands around like a madman
The Doctor stood his ground. “We need to talk, Rumplestiltskin”.
“Do we?” Rumplestiltskin beckoned Belle to leave the room. He watched her go before turning to face the Doctor. “What do you want?”
“It’s hard to believe you’re that little boy I met all those years ago”
“People change. You still haven’t answered my question, what do you want?” Rumple had no time for idle chatter, he had a curse to create that would enable him to cross lands and find Bae in a land without magic. Every moment he wasted was a moment longer that he and Bae were apart.
“The weeping angels” the Doctor said simply. “They’re back”

Keeper of Felix“Hahahahahahahahaha” laughed the Dark One “The Weeping Angels, those statues were just a harmless experiment in magic, What danger are they to anyone ?”
The Doctor shook his head “Harmless?, back on Gallifrey, we used to say the many toothed Horowitz piranhafish was harmless, but no Rumplestiltskin, you’ve created a killer race of winged stone humanoids with the ability to move when unseen, you’ve changed Rumplestiltskin, you’re not the sad little boy crying over his cowardly father anymore, what has power done to you?! Plus the fact you may have Vashta Nerada spawning in this castle, which only I may be able to help you with, so let’s make a deal, I’ll rid this castle of the Vashta Nerada and the Angels for good, in exchange for your dagger, what do you say?”
“No deal” Rumplestiltskin snarled. He needed his power to find his son, not that anyone would know that. Keeping his cards close to his chest was a habit that had served him well over the years.
“Your maid, what was her name? Bessie? Bertha?” The Doctor was a perceptive man, he knew Rumplestiltskin would need persuading to see things his way.
“Belle” Rumple corrected, wondering why the Doctor had brought Belle into the conversation.
“Ah yes, Belle. Suppose she comes across the Vashta Nerada or the weeping angels, what then?” The Doctor awaited the Dark one’s answer with interest.
