THE PRESENT DAY – Granny’s Diner
Mr Gold stopped dead in his tracks, as he stood tapping his cane in nervousness, he leant over and whispered into Belle’s ear
“Go back to the shop, I’ll meet you there” he gently nudged her towards the door of the Diner
“Full of surprises aren’t we Rumple?, still so am I, wait till you see the inside of my sports car, never saying that again, sounded wrong” said the Doctor looking very displeased with himself as he ran his hand through his hair
“Outside!” said Gold as he went to grab him by the scruff of the neck, but the Doctor stopped him
“Wait a mo, aren’t we gonna have a cuppa and a catch up? Chat about old times, Ogres and spin spinny spinning?” Said the Doctor, shocked that the reunion wasn’t going as well as he had hoped, his thoughts stopped when the bell above the door of Granny’s diner rung as the door opened, and in walked Emma and Henry. They then stood in shock at the Doctor and. Gold struggling as diners watched in amusement. it was then that Henry tapped Emma on the arm. she turned to him as Henry whispered in her ear
“Mom, what’s the Doctor doing in Storybrooke?” Asked Henry, surprised
[adrotate group="5"]June 3, 2014 at 5:25 pm #272232PriceofMagicParticipantEmma used her magic to separate the two men as the other diners turned back to their meals.
“What the hell is going on?” Emma demanded.
“Nothing much” the Doctor replied. “Eating some food, catching up with old acquaintances, on the hunt for weeping angels, meeting new people. Hi, I’m the Doctor!” The Doctor held his hand out for Emma to shake.
“Shouldn’t you be at the hospital then doctor?” Emma raised her eyebrow in suspicion. She’d never seen a doctor that looked or acted like the man before her.
“You’re not listening. I’m the Doctor not a doctor. Have you seen anything unusual around town lately?” The Doctor hated people not listening to him.
“You mean besides the hordes of new statues?”

Keeper of FelixJune 3, 2014 at 5:50 pm #272234sauronbagginsParticipantHenry, fascinated by the stranger, spoke up “I know you, I saw you on T.V, that stuff with the Cybermen and the Daleks, that was cool!, I’m…….”
But the Doctor grabbed Henry’s hand and shook it fiercely “Henry Mills!, Boy I gotta say it’s a pleasure to meet you at last!” Emma didn’t like this pleasant, even cute, looking stranger sending admiration towards her son
“Whoa, hang on a minute, what the hell are you talking about, hordes of statues infesting Storybrooke, and how do you know my son?” Asked Emma, anger building in her voice
“That must be why the TARDIS brought me here, interesting, strange place for temporal anomalies this place is, has anything wibbly wobbly timey wimey happened here recently Miss……..?”
“Swan………Emma Swan” said Emma growing impatient now
“Ah…….. You must be The saviour, you know, one day they’re gonna make a TV programme about this place and all you wonderful people, just watch out for that episode about the Dwarves and the eggs, bit terrible but, look there might be an invasion occurring here, and it’s not necessarily one you’re going to be able to see either”
Henry suddenly grew excited “Weeping Angels? Those creepy angel stone things, they freaked me out” The Doctor also got excited “Good lad Henry boy, the most dangerous creatures in the galaxy and they’re infesting Storybrooke like a virus, probably feeding on the imaginations of every fictional character here, probably getting a boost from all the temporal energy released a few weeks ago, come on then, let’s go to the Cemetery, only I could make that sound brilliant, Allon’sy!” shouted the Doctor as he plucked his sonic screwdriver out of his pocket and raced out of the door of Granny’s, but just as he was about to leave the door, when Henry grabbed the coat tail of his jacket, the Doctor stopped and turned towards Henry
“But you’re not in my book? Why are you here, you came here in the TARDIS?, what’s going on Doctor” asked Henry
“I don’t know, maybe a future Me, probably to throw some silent assassins off my trail in the future, who knows” said the Doctor winking at Henry, and he resumed his race to the Storybrooke cemetery, where the Angels waited………………….

Keeper of a few things which I've forgotten but I know I have dibs on them
June 5, 2014 at 3:14 pm #272533sauronbagginsParticipantThanks Amy, feel free to join in if you have any ideas 🙂
Emma and Henry followed the Doctor to the cemetery, it was night now, the only lights being the old lamposts that flickered with an eerie glow. The Doctor held his sonic screwdriver aloft at the lamps and they grew brighter. Emma wasn’t impressed, and the Doctor noticed
“Typical human response there, I see” said the Doctor, one eyebrow raised
“Look, I’ve seen a lot of crazy things in this town, giants, werewolves, witches and evil queens, but I refuse to believe a statue can move” said Emma with her hands on her hips. Henry was fascinated
“Ah now there’s the angels greatest weapon, they can only move when unseen, one touch can send you back in time, and make you live to death” said the Doctor gesturing his hands to show the complicated nature of what he was saying. “You see Miss Swan, when you look into the eyes of a Weeping Angel, it’s the last thing you’ll ever see, and the recent time anomaly here is like MCDonalds to them, feeding on the residue of your recent time travelly trip, love that word “time travelly”, we need to find them and neutralise them before they take some poor Fairytale character to their death in the past” said the Doctor.
Henry thought this guy was cool, and he wanted to hear more from him, but it was then that he heard a scraping sound. Frightened, he walked slowly through the gravestones. He hadn’t been in the cemetery since Neal died. His eyes wandered, and then stopped when he saw the Angel. It stood gracefully, it’s wings outstretched, it’s stone cold eyes staring directly at Henry. It’s arm was outstretched pointing at Henry. It had one cold stony finger over its lips.
“Erm………Doctor?……….” Said Henry, his voice shaky, his heart thumping. He remembered the episode where the Angels first appeared, he knew he had to stop blinking.
“Henry!!!” Shouted Regina, who had also followed the group to the cemetery. It was then that Henry made a huge mistake and turned his back on the Angel.
“Henry, NO!!!!!!!!” Screamed Emma, racing over but it was too late. the Doctor ran behind her frantically waving his screwdriver at the Angel, but it was too late. Henry vanished in a flash.
“Oh no, oh no, Doctor what’s happened to him? TELL ME!” Shouted Emma as she shook the Doctor.
“He’s been sent back in time, there’s nothing I can do, I’m sorry I’m so sorry” said the Doctor sadly
Emma, fell to her knees and wept, then hen she composed herself, she took one look at Regina , and raced over and slapped her square in the face.
“YOU did this ! You just couldn’t leave us alone can you!” screamed Emma. Regina was used to Emma’s tantrums by now.
“Well if you hadn’t brought Marion back………..” screamed Regina. the arguing continued until the Doctor had to break them apart
“Oi, fighting like this isn’t going to save Henry, we need to think logically, there’s got to be somewhere in time where the Angels will benefit removing Henry from history, but where, I need a time trace, some hint of temporal residue, there just might be a chance, do either of you have anything belonging to Henry, something that he used recently?” Asked the Doctor, thoughts running through his head
Regina, cleared a tear from her eyes, and looked through her handbag, she plucked out a handheld Space Paranoids game. “How about this ?” Said Regina as she thrust the game into the Doctor’s hands.
“Fantastic!, this might just work very nicely, now I CAN get you your son back, fancy a trip in the TARDIS?”
June 5, 2014 at 6:30 pm #272542PriceofMagicParticipant“Wait a minute” said Emma fearfully. “Who’s looking at the angel?”
The three of them looked at the angel just in time before it could reach them and send them back in time too.
“Don’t blink. You blink and you’re dead. Don’t look at it too long either, especially not in the eyes” warned the Doctor. “It’ll sear an image of itself into your memory. An image of an angel shall itself become an angel”
“How the hell are we meant to escape without looking at it?” Regina snapped.
The Doctor thought quickly. “We’ll take it in turns. It can’t move whilst someone is looking at it. Regina, you watch it whilst Emma and I move back. I’ll then watch it whilst you move back. Emma then watches, then so on and so forth. We need to move quickly before more appear”
The Doctor’s plan was put into motion. It was difficult to keep an eye on both the surroundings and the angel itself, but the plan was a success and the trio escaped back to the sheriff station.
“Tell me about those weeping angels” Emma demanded. “Where did they come from?
“Nobody really knows how the angels came to be but it’s believed they came into existence after the end of the first ogre war.” The Doctor explained. “Every planet has a different story to tell about the angels but there are some details that seem to be consistant”
“Which are?”asked Regina.
The Doctor sat down to tell to two women what he knew. “There was a woman whose son was sent to the ogre wars to fight. After the war ended, he came back, then one night he simply vanished without trace. The woman was heartbroken. It is said that her sorrow was so great, even the angels themselves began to weep. The woman vowed to never sleep nor rest until her son was found. She travelled far and wide in search of her son until she came upon a dark wizard. She begged him to help her find her son but he would not. He told her she’d only see her son in her memories of the past, she only had to close her eyes and she would see her son again.”
“Then what happened?” questioned Emma. The more she knew about the angels, the better chance she had to defeat them and get Henry back.
The Doctor frowned.”That’s the thing, the stories start to wildly differ from that point onwards. Some say that the woman became the very first weeping angel, either by the wizard’s hand or her own volition, whilst others say that the woman became the angels’ first victim. There’s been so many different retellings of the woman’s fate that nobody knows which version is the truth any more.”
Emma thought for a moment. A story could be real, her own parents were proof of that, and there were ogre wars in the Enchanted Forest, that much she knew. If the story happened at the end of the first ogre war in the Enchanted Forest, then there were only two people she knew in Storybrooke who would’ve been alive at that time. “We need to see Rumplestiltskin and the Blue Fairy!” Emma declared.

Rumplestiltskin grabbed the Doctor by the wrist
“If what you’re doing here, means Belle will be hurt, I won’t be responsible for my actions!” snarled the Dark One
“Look that dagger didn’t come from here, it came from where I come from, Gallifrey, one of my kind escaped with it, we were fighting a war, a terrible war, but the man who stole it was a coward, he ran from the battlefields of the Crimson Heart, tiny place, you won’t have heard of it, he ran for so long until he ended up nowhere” said the Doctor
“How can a person end up nowhere?” Asked Belle curiously
The Doctor shook his head “That’s just it, he vanished into the Void, he carried a terrible weapon which could manifest the energies into whoever held it, if you had dark thoughts, it amplified them, if you had evil thoughts, it made them far worse”
Rumplestiltskin thought, could this be Zoso’s dagger? An artefact from another world? Maybe it was from the other place, the Land without Magic, where he could find Baelfire, he wasn’t going to give it up easily
Belle decided to take control “So if I remember rightly, there’s killer statues in here trying to kill us?” As she said this she was busy placing a few roses into a vase. Rumplestiltskin watched her with interest. if only she knew who those roses once were.
“Pretty much” said the Doctor “There’s a legend I need to look into concerning the origin of these things, but I’ve learned everything I know about them from experience, that dagger and it’s technology can’t belong in a world with magic, like giving a firework to a child”
Belle sighed and thought, she had had to deal with a lot since making the deal to leave her village and her family, but for some reason, she didn’t feel like the stranger was lying.
“Maybe there’s a book in the library I could take a look at?” asked Belle in eagerness, Rumpletsiltskin rolled his eyes, this girl and her books………
“I have a library in the TARDIS, but I’ve yet to see a book on the Weeping Angels, very little is know about them” said the Doctor, until he had a brainwave
“Maybe a tale as old as time can help us after all, you’ll get the irony later” said the Doctor jumping up and down like a child, he held his hand out to Belle and said in three simple words
“Do you trust me?”

Henry collapsed to the pavement, and it hurt. Plucking up his courage, he jumped to his feet and looked around. All around him was the hustle and bustle of a busy street. He walked to a shop door and looked through the window “Horowitz Hats” proclaimed the sign above the door.
Something about this seemed familiar, too familiar. Ever since the Angel touched him back in Storybrooke, everything seemed a blur. Then he remembered Emma, she’d come for him as she always did when he needed her. He felt safe until he started walking across the road. He stopped, in horror. Across the street, stood 2 Angels, both pointing his way, their faces were serene and calm in their monstrousness.
Don’t take your eyes off them, thought Henry, then he’d be safe until Emma came for him. He took a step backwards, staring intently at the Angel and he ran as fast as he could down the busy street, bumping into people as he ran. Out of breath, he stopped, panting. He turned round to check if the Angels were still stood motionless, but they were gone. He had stopped outside a restaurant. He could hear the laughter and chatter inside. But something happened then that made his heart race. A tall, blonde haired woman, wearing a red cocktail dress, got out of a yellow VW Beetle, checked her hair in one of the wing mirrors, and straightened her dress, and walked with purpose towards the restaurant.
“Mom?!?” Whispered Henry, then a scary thought entered his head, this was the night, the night it all began, the night Emma came to Storybrooke…………………..
June 16, 2014 at 4:50 pm #274069PriceofMagicParticipantStorybrooke- Present day.
The convent was quiet, eerily so, and Emma approached the front door with caution whilst The Doctor and Regina kept watch near the car. Emma went to knock before noticing the door was ajar. The door creaked loudly as Emma pushed it open wider. It was pitch black inside. “Hello?” Emma called out from the doorway, not willing to venture into the darkness. It was a perfect place for the angels to be hiding. “Anyone there? Mother Superior?” No reply. Emma retreated carefully back to the car, not once taking her eyes off the dark doorway.
“Well?” Regina asked impatiently.
“Let’s try Rumplestiltskin” Emma said.
“What did the Blue Fairy say?” enquired The Doctor as he got back into the car.
Emma started the car engine. “Nothing, she can’t help us. Now lets go”
“No” said Regina firmly. “That sneaky fairy has information that could help us get back Henry. If she won’t share it willingly, then I’ll make her”
“Regina, wait!” Emma tried to protest but Regina had already stormed out of the car and was halfway to the front door.
The Doctor could see the fear in Emma’s eyes. “You didn’t actually speak to the Blue Fairy, did you?” When she shook her head, his worst fears were confirmed.
Regina ignored the pleas of Emma and The Doctor to return to the car as she marched towards the convent entrance. It seemed the nuns had suffered a power outage but it was no matter, she conjured a fireball in her hand to give her the light she needed and entered the dark hallway.
“What do we do?” Emma asked The Doctor.
“Get back in the car, lock the doors and keep the engine running. We’ll sit tight and keep an eye out. Hopefully Regina will return” The Doctor replied. “If angels start appearing out here, we’ll have to leave.
“What about Regina?”
“If there are angels out here, then you can count on it that there are angels in there. It could already be too late” The Doctor warned.
Emma followed the Doctor’s instructions immediately and quickly. Her hands were trembling on the steering wheel as she scanned her surroundings for the slightest sign of movement. “Come on, Regina” she whispered under her breath. “Come on, come back, come back, come back”
Regina continued making her way through the dark convent hallways. She didn’t notice the stone fingers reaching out towards her……………

Keeper of FelixJune 16, 2014 at 5:07 pm #274071sauronbagginsParticipantEmma trembled behind the steering wheel. The Doctor placed his and on Emma’s
“You okay, Saviour?” Asked the Doctor sensing her fear
“I’m not sure, every time I come out on top, it seems something knocks me back down, you see Henry coming for me in Boston was the best thing that ever happened to me, it’s brought me to my parents, I once thought I’d never find them, after all the years in the system, I’d given up hope, if seen so many things, ogres, werewolves, Peter Pan……..”
“Seriously?, I thought my life was weird! Did he wear that crazy feather in his hat?, no don’t answer that, you see Emma, I spent my whole lives running from my family, never looking back, we’ll get Henry back, you need Henry in Storybrooke, you see Emma there’s something I should tell you, you see………..” Emma shouted “Look, it’s Mother Superior!” And she jumped out the car, and ran to her. The Doctor sighed, and followed her.
Mother Superior, dressed in her robes turned “Emma, what brings you here?”
“We need your help, Henry’s been taken……again, please help us, you’re our only hope” begged Emma desperately
