- John Lithgow doing the “Previously on…” in character as the rabbit.
- Cyrus saying “You have the whole world, Alice; I can show it to you”.
Dislike:
- I’m not getting any sense of peril, just stuff happening, and then more stuff happening. I don’t want an edgy show, one that makes me feel miserable, but the story so far isn’t drawing me in.

I really agree with this. Jafar and the RQ are obviously unhinged and maybe dangerous in their own right but thus far they haven’t really presented a problem to Alice or Cyrus. Alice isn’t looking for Cyrus in order to save him from death because the last thing Jafar and the RQ want is Cyrus dead. And in a way the two villains need Alice to stay alive and healthy so that she can make her wishes so that they then can use Cyrus for their own means. They are almost “fringe” danger. So what is the danger–WL itself?
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"October 20, 2013 at 7:17 pm #217428zlfh4ParticipantHmm, so I do have a bit of a theory since I don’t specifically remember the red queen having an actual name yet, I was wondering if she might be the Knave’s Anastasia as well as the stepsister Anastasia from Cinderella. We never actually met her and I have no idea how she would have become the Red Queen though she clearly took Cora’s place. However it would have explained why they would have bothered with the very short inexplicable scene involving Grumpy and Cinderella. I could have understood Grumpy, and another of the drawves but why bother with Cinderella when we haven’t seen her since Season 1 unless it was a hint of things to come… I know this is a crackpot theory but it would be fun and it would definitely give the Red Queen more depth…

Not so cracky as you might think! We actually have an entire thread devoted to this idea:

loved how they took something so simple and tied it in to a major plot point.
Red Queen talking to Bunny. That’s the only time I really feel her menace. She still comes off like a little girl playing dress up to me, but at least at the end when she kept the bottle, she sort of showed some bite.
For some reason this scene reminded me of Charlotte La Bouff in The Princess and the Frog.
Dislike: The Silvermist fairy. I didn’t like the whole jealous fairy gets angry at the Knave because they used a namecheck for a Disney Fairy that I felt was not a good fit for the character in an “echo the original” sort of way. Now these Disney canon characters aren’t as well known as the classic Peter Pan story characters, so a lot of people probably just felt it’s a random generic fairy sort of name. I felt they did try to make her look like a water fairy with the dew drops on the lashes and things. It’s just they didn’t get enough of the character’s flavor for me. Disney Fairies Wiki: Silvermist (also known as “Sil” to her friends) is a water-talent fairy with an East Asian appearance with fair skin, brown eyes, and black hair. She is delightfully offbeat and has an upbeat way of looking at everything. The personality traits listed are friendly, calm, absentminded, quiet, gentle, silly I mean I suppose those traits might fit with her getting involved with the Knave, then him hurting her emotionally to the point she’d drop him in a lake knowing he couldn’t swim, because it is ONCE:WL and the characters do things they’d never do in their original versions. I just think they could have picked a different character to make more sense personality wise. I agree also that the episode fell flat in some ways for me. I want to like this show, and I’ll hang out some hope that Jafar has an interesting agenda.
I’ve seen Silvermist before, but it was many years ago., I had forgotten, so I didn’t make that connection. I’ve had a boy for four years so I’m up to date on superheroes, not so much fairies and princesses. But now I have my girl I get to remedy that.
{quote=216851}The Knave- I hope once Wonderland finishes, the Knave is brought over to Once. . [/quote]
Yes please!
I’m not enjoying Jafar, for some reason the actor just isn’t cutting it for me. Now that afore-said scene happened I instantly think Charlotte, when I see RQ. Idk if I’m on board with Anastasia being same as Cinderella’s step sister or not. I’ll continue to watch for the Knave, but other than him, I’m not very impressed.
Time to hide your crazy, and start acting like a lady.
