Very Once-y! In that scene I was thinking the sultan is so selfish. He spent all that time bonding with Cyrus. He knows that Jafar is doing all this to Alice and Cyrus because of him and still won’t say the words.
YES! Like dude. You clearly have fatherly instincts and are capable of compassion. Like when he told Cyrus to go without him because he’d only slow him down. And then to learn about his history with Jafar!

Agreed. There wasn’t much I disliked about this ep, but the brief shots of Cyrus just felt really disconnected and pointless.
Alice’s father thinking it was all a dream when Alice wished him back home. I seriously hope he doesn’t doubt her when he sees her again!!!!!! UGH. That would be character development gone down the drain.
I do hope he believes her, but that scene came right after Will reminded Alice that wishes come with consequences, so something bad must come of it. Maybe her father will believe that it was real, and that wretch of a wife of his will have him committed to the nuthouse next. Or worse, perhaps she’ll arrange for him to accidentally on purpose die if he doesn’t shut up about WL and having to find a way to reconcile with Alice.
The Knave!!! – ‘You’ve been nothing but a right b******’ ‘Keys to Grannies, shes gonna be right pissed about that’ ‘Peanut…Stale peanut’ hahah I love him so much.
LOVED those lines! 😆 Pretty please can he make his way back to SB and end up on the main show.

I can’t see Cyrus wanting to leave him trapped there so maybe they will try to rescue him. Do you think he would say it if Jafar was about to kill Cyrus? It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Hm. I don’t know. I’d like to the Sultan has learned from the past, but the fact that he didn’t say it even to save his heir Mirza coupled with telling the real Edwin, “he wants something from me he shall never get” seems to suggest that no matter what, those words aren’t going to cross the Sultan’s lips.

Jafar backstory- I actually felt sympathy for Jafar this episode.
Jafar trying to find out if Alice’s father was right or left handed- I just loved how the scene was played and Jafar’s little “thank you”
The little nod to Mr Gold- It made me smile.
The Knave- I want to see the Knave on the proper Once.
Least Favourite:
The ongoing Cyrus/Alice love story- They seem a bit of a rip off of Snowing. I’m just waiting for Alice or Cyrus to say “I will always find you”

This is maybe the biggest problem I have with WL currently. I do like Cylice but they haven’t given much development to them at this point. By this point in ONCE S1, we had Snow and Charming meeting but also David and MM bonding in SB. So you could see the love story, but with WL I’m expected to just believe that Cylice are TL without actually showing me the story. They’ve billed WL in general as an epic love story but I would argue, at this point, it’s an adventure story about two best friends fighting off villains and the love story is rather secondary.

Keeper of FelixI did love the twist with the Sultan even though we’d guessed he was the man in the cage, we never would have guessed how cruel and cold he was deep down. He is never going to give Jafar what he wants and he would rather die than say Jafar is his son or that he loves him. I think after Jafar killed Mirza, after he upstaged him, after he didn’t listen about his place, there was no way the Sultan was going to love him.
The thing I wonder about is why Ulima seemed convinced the Sultan would love Jafar, and why the Sultan gave Ulima the ring in the first place?
The scenes of Alice talking to her father, and knowing that’s really Jafar hearing this and saying it–that was really interesting. He was saying all the things he wanted to hear from his father, but then at the end, he knows when Alice talks about meeting someone cruel and horrible, she’s talking about him. He might have bonded with Alice in that moment, but then later on when her father does actually talk to Alice and says he won’t ask for her forgiveness as he doesn’t deserve it, that must have twisted the jealousy in Jafar’s heart some more! The Sultan would never say that to Jafar, would never love him so much as Alice’s father in the end did love her.
Jafar has forced her to use two wishes up pretty fast, and Wil is promised the third so I wonder how that all is going to shake out.
I’m glad the show will complete it is run but I am not sad at all the ratings were not good enough for them to plan another round.
When this ends, I would like to see Jafar head to OUAT to make a real threat but he might end up being bottled up as a genie too. The rest don’t do too much for me, but I suppose seeing Will around town like we do Whale every once in awhile would be fun.

Well we haven’t seen enough of the relationship yet for me to enjoy them as much as I’d like.
