Soŕy for bringing it up now i just now finished season 4 and have a question
(I started watching again cause i heard theres still hope)

Why did Emma remember? Why did Henry still have the key? Where did the quil come from?
Emma: Must have been part of Gold’s plan. My punishment in this world is that I know the truth but I’m powerless to do anything about it. In this world, I’m no longer the saviour. I’ve got no magic.

So Mr Gold’s plan was to put everyone in an au and Henry to find Emma and get them OUT of AU because he was about to die and become a dangerous zombie dark one. OK. Got it. Whatever.

No because Henry was never part of the AU. Gold wanted a life where Bae died young, Emma and Neal essentially never met and never had Henry. Regina never remembers him. Henry was apart of any plan. Gold wanted his happy ending which was as a hero-ish figure, living with Belle. In the AU Rumple isn’t dying at all because in that AU he’s not the Dark One–never was.

I don’t think Rumple wanted a life where Bae died young. He originally wanted Bae there, but the author told him that he couldn’t undo death, so Rumple had it where he didn’t abandon Bae and unfortunately Bae was already dead in the AU

Yes, I think you got the wording better than I did, but the point about Henry remains: there was no plan for him. In Rumple’s AU, Henry simply doesn’t exist.

    Gold said this about himself

“I an not one for loose ends”

    Or something.

Leaving Henry in the real world where he could find the author, the book, and had the key on him is a whole trail of loose ends.

Isn’t it obvious? Gold played them all. He played the author, he played Regina and he played Zelena. He wanted Henry to find them and change it back and end the author’s job without having to kill the author.

What I DON’T understand is how all this would help him or the town once he becomes the zombie darkone.
