OTP Appreciation Thread (Non-OUAT)

So OUAT opened my eyes to the wonderful (and sometimes dreadful) world of Shipping. I realized I’ve had ships from other shows, books, and whatever long before I even realized what a “ship” was. So the purpose of this thread I created is simply to post our other NON-OUAT OTP ships. It could be a picture or a video clip or just a sentence saying who you ship and from where they are from. REMEMBER: This is not an OUAT ship thread, all OUAT ships are off limits. This isn’t a ship bash or discussion thread, just a “Post Your Fave Non-OUAT ship” thread and that’s all 😀 I’ll start with a few:

What ‘ships I loved outside of Once Upon a Time?

I think I would be insanely happy when young Selina and Bruce meet in Gotham. It has to happen at some point this season.

I love Nolan and Emily from Revenge. I think of all the guys Emily’s been involved with on the show Nolan is the one who understands her best. I understand romantically, nothing may never happen but I love their scenes together.

I loved Bash and Mary from Reign. Historically, I knew it wasn’t going to last because Bash, as awesome as he is, he is a fictional character and Mary Stuart was a real person. So even though it’s the CW, the writers are going to try to stick to history.

Only outside of OUAT?

1. Daenerys Targaryen and Jorah Mormont from “A Song of Ice and Fire” book series by George RR Martin (or Game of Thrones if you don’t know the books but just the TV show). If I spend half my life on this forum, then I spend the other half of my life on an ASOIAF forum.

 

2. Amy Farrah Fowler and Sheldon Cooper from “Big Bang Theory.” Oh sweet seven save from their perfection. The quote in my siggy is from their last episode where Sheldon finally told Amy he loves her.

3. Ichabod Crane and Abbie Mills from “Sleepy Hollow.” I actually like them (right now!) just as friends and nothing more. They have the perfect working relationship and best friendship. It’s really wonderful.

 

4. The 10th Doctor and Rose from “Doctor Who.” Always.

 

5. Cosima and Delphine from “Orphan Black”

6. Jaime Lannister and Brienne of Tarth from ” A Song of Ice and Fire” (not as passionate about them as I am about Dany/Jorah but I do enjoy their backwards love story)

 

7. Sherlock and John Watson from “Sherlock”–heaven help me but yes I ship the heck out of it.

Growing up, I loved Cory and Topanga from Boy Meets World and now again on the spin-off series on Girl Meets World…same actors!

Also, Jesse and Rebecca from Full House. You can’t get much better than Jesse serenading his bride.

Also, Ariel and Eric were my first memorable Disney pairing.

Nowadays, I love Sheldon and Amy, as well as Penny and Leonard from The Big Bang Theory. 🙂

Also, I am really enjoying the new show Forever and the potential for Dr. Henry Morgan and detective Jo Martinez.

I also crack ship John Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, because they are the embodiment of A Song of Ice and Fire. (One day it won’t just be crack…it is known).

And last but certainly not least, Aragorn and Arwen from LOTR.

I’ve heard this Danerys woman referred to as the Mother Of Dragons. As someone who doesn’t watch GOT, I have to know >> did she really BIRTH dragons or is it like some kind of metaphor or something?

Not as in she literally gave birth from her womb. But yes, she is the Mother of Dragons. She walked into the fires of a funeral pyre, where she had placed three dragon eggs, and they hatched and sucked at her breasts and are linked to her. She’s also a Targaryen, a very old family with ties to literal dragons.
