A prequel wouldn’t work because we a)had flashbacks b) know how the story ends c) run the risk of retcons galore.
That has never stopped them before, and I am not sure A and E want Hook to be old, drunk, and fat for the remainder of the show although I must say that is how I like him best. It would also explain the big time jump they talked about. It would be a time jump just not forward.
Another thought process is that we get both, Henry and mysterious girl in WR in the past before Belle and Snowing. Why I have no idea, but that would also make Hook younger. I just don’t see them keeping Hook the way he was in the WR.

Just remembered this interview Lana & Sean did two weeks ago….they heavily teased that the OQ story wasn’t finished, but couldn’t say anything because it was a spoiler. This could definetly lend itself to the theory Season 7 will be in Wish Realm.

Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve been on here…
But anyway, I fully agree that this renewal is bittersweet. I am happy to have more time with the podcast and I do have curiosity for what is to come, but I really think this renewal is a bad idea. I agree with a lot of what has been said before, so I’m not going to repeat it all.
Although I think it could work, the Wish Realm idea is just not my favorite. It feels like a really cheesy way to get out of developing our characters, and I agree that I would probably prefer new characters to that. However, I too am not sure what other story line could be used instead, so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

It is just Regina and this new child who will not be anymore a character then Henry has been and that hasn’t been a lot.
Almost guarantees we will be in the wish realm.
How? I know it’s the prevailing theory right now, but it’s still just speculation.
Of course it wasn’t because Belle is dead in WR.
They could very easily have gotten around that if they wanted to. We only ever saw a bag of bones, which could have been anyones. Belle is resourceful and may have gone into hiding.
