For what it’s worth, the possibility for s7 to be set at the wish realm seems more positive than ever so Emma might not die in the finale and KillEmma might still end up together.
It’s a creative and plausible theory, but I’m personally hoping this isn’t the direction they take things. The Wish Realm was my least favorite part of this season. Also, the DNA of OUAT has always been character revelation through flashbacks. The Wish Realm residents just came into existence this season. I guess they could show flashbacks if there’s a time jump… It would certainly be a reboot, but a disappointing concept in my opinion.
I agree, I don’t like it at all. The wish realm is typical A&E move – eating the cake and having it too. The idea of it is confusing, the place is not “real” otherwise Regina murdered two innocent people just to prove a point, but they treat it as if it is real, and then there is the fact that it is treated as if it’s just like any other realm. However, I do believe that A&E knew about who’s coming back a long time now, probably since filming 609, therefore they created a place which could serve as a potential back door reboot without all those inconvenient characters whose actors are leaving.

S7 is a race to get back to Emma while trying to save the WR with the help of Regina, OQ daughter whom is the savior of the realm and maybe even Rumple.
It’s a very interesting theory.

I honestly don’t think they are going to go that route (and I really hope not). That isn’t to say that they can’t go the route of setting it in an alternate reality though, and there are endless possibilities for variation on the main Once Upon A Time story that we have seen. I’d like to think that this reboot will be much more significant/substantial than previous soft reboots though.

Honestly the Wish Realm is the only possibility where no happy endings or anything get affected and it makes sense. Especially with only three returning, whom we know are in the WR and the ones not returning are dead or not even in the WR. Although I think Hook will be from our world not the WR like that theory says.

Also, they aren’t going to show that weird looking Hook long term. Also, Snow and Charming were killed over there by Regina. That just doesn’t work and would not be interesting.
I really think they just need to add in some new regular people characters and have the old characters help the new characters. A new savior would be fine, though really i could do without the who savior thing because it has become sort of silly.
I wonder if they are going to get rid of Storybrooke or not. I would think they might and would just leave all the other characters stuck in Storybrooke and have these three somehow get sucked off on some adventure. They have done that before.

Most people don’t like it anyways and the important thing right now is that the characters will be separated in some way. Maybe the three characters will somehow be written into the new storybook and will be pulled forward in time or just recreated. That would leave the old story behind and just have a different disconnected story with three of the same characters.
It isn’t like what is going to happen is going to make sense. They are probably going to rewrite the characters personalities to fit them working together anyways. They rewrite their personalities between seasons all the time and if they are doing a big reboot it seems pretty likely going to do that again.

Or is it sort of assumed since Lana, Robert, and Colin are confirmed, the others aren’t? I assume we’ll hear one way or the other definitively soon like we just did with Bex.

I think Bex would have mentioned them with the rest if they had.

This is what I’d like as well. We can have a time jump, have Regina, Rumple, and Hook taken from their HEA’s for a season to transition in the new characters, and then have those 3 returned to their HEA’s by season’s end. If the show gets a S8, the originals can bow out and the show can continue with the new cast.

Very good point.
