I agree that the interruptions are annoying, especially when Rumbelle are on a date, but I don’t think think it’s A and E being cruel, they have to advance their plot. And Rumbelle dating is a sub sub plot. We want it, of course, as fans. But A and E have a story to tell. There was a great moment at Paley this year where Eddy said something like he’d love to write the episode where Snow and Emma just go shopping for a day, but they can’t do that. They have 22 episodes to tell their tale, and you can’t take large amounts of time out for a date. Snowing never get it either. They are showing walking with coffee, discussing the current situation, but that’s about it.

TV shows have to be really tight in their storytelling. They don’t have time for pure fluff that doesn’t move the story forward. Everything has to have a purpose. I would rather the interrupted dates than not see them together at all. It’s just enough to give us the idea.

Yeah but who’s asking for an entire episode of that? Rumbelle’s story, at this point, SHOULD be them in a relationship; we’ve never seen it. Snowing is already married and we get a LOT of moments of them with Henry or Emma in the loft. We don’t get and haven’t had any of that with Rumbelle; all we’ve gotten are dramatic scenes……granted, beautiful ones. You can’t be in a relationship if you are not together – ever. Part of their story should be showing these two in love and being happy; if the writers can’t show that, then they are terrible writers. I’m sorry, that’s not a knock at ONCE, it’s a criticism I have of writers in general. If you are talented, you can find a way to make anything work.
Skin Deep was beautiful because we got to see these two fall in love…….and now we don’t get to see them in a relationship; we’ve merely gotten to see how they feel about each other. If the show wants to get back to character-based storytelling, it’s important to show Rumbelle being happy and together – and finally let them deal with whatever angst may happen together, not apart. It’s really unfair to ask the audience to keep the faith, to watch through ALL of the downs – and never give them real significant ups.

Hmm, I have a love hate relationship with him. I thought we’d get a CharmBelle friendship after Child of the Moon but then he ignored her for the rest of the season and didn’t take care of her at all in the hospital. Belle was left to be drugged -and Regina was allowed to enter, twice.
He actually left only because Gold gave him that look, lol – no idea if he would have left if he hadn’t.
I’m sort of hoping that everyone on that ship saw Rumbelle kiss and maybe, just maybe, they will start thinking of Gold as a human being. To the Charmings, he’s still the lizardy creature they know from FTL – in fact, to everyone in town he still is that. He comes down the hospital steps in “Brother”, shattered about Belle, and all everyone can do is ask him to magically cure a stranger (Whale was drinking on the job). Then in the finale, not a second after Gold finds out his son is dead, he’s asked to go into super hero mode and save the town.

We’ll see….. the burger date at least lasted a couple of minutes; the picnic was pathetic at maybe 1 second, lol. I did enjoy the entire scene, though: the way Belle came to his defense after those Charmings accused him of murder (good job, with no proof at all), the way she looked at him as he patted Pongo, the way he talked to her as if she was the only one in the room.
I hope you’re right about S3, but I do honestly think the interrupted dates or moments in S2 were designed to frustrate fans and Rumbelle.

I really doubt they being vindictive and seeking to frustrate us on purpose. Writing doesn’t work that way. Why antagonize your audience intentionally? They are simply telling the story the way they want to tell it. In film and tv, you have a very short time to get a message across.
June 9, 2013 at 10:10 pm #197749HappyEndingsSpectatorBack to the Beans – Then I guess the bad fairy didn’t take the rest of the beans after all, I can’t remember the exact quote that the BF used something that this is the last bean we don’t know what happened to the rest is just another pot hole 😥

I don’t think it’s a plot hole. The BF said that the beans were lost, that they had fallen out of existence. It could be that she’s lying or that the beans, if they really do take 100 years to grow and cultivate in FTL, did just fall out of existence at various points in history.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"June 9, 2013 at 10:30 pm #197751HappyEndingsSpectatorFound this on another fourm:
I just came from an online Facebook chat session with Michael Coleman (Happy) and he said that Neverland is not going to be the sole focus of Season 3. The season is actually going to be set in London, Storybrooke, Neverland, and Fairy-Tale Land.
June 9, 2013 at 10:38 pm #197752angiebelleParticipantI don’t think it is a plot hole either. I think Blue really believed the beans were gone.
So many story locations for season 3- how will they balance them all?!
