Did anyone notice that in Season 1, Emma’s back was to the smoke on the title page. Then for Season 2, Emma is facing the smoke in Storybrook ❓

She will have a left side view holding the sword straight up, season 4 will have her right side with the sword pointing towards something and season 5 will have a top view showing her shooting up like a rocket with purple smoke trailing.

Ruth and David are Bible names so there must be a connection some how with this line. Ruth married a close rich relative named Boaz per the Bible, then had a son named Obed who was the father of Jesse who was the father of David.

4) David and JamesBut in this case they skipped Obed or maybe Jesse or both of of them in order for Ruth to be the mother of David, other wise she would have been David’s, Great Grandmother instead of mother.

2) David and JamesI wonder if David’s last name would mean anything, we know that Snow’s last name is White, and we know Emma’s last name is Swan (Ugly Duckling) but what is David’s in FL? Also, wouldn’t Emma’s real last name is what PC’s is or did David take Snow’s last name which I doubt?
I wonder how David’s dad died?
I wonder if they will explain how Emma’s tattoo was made was she born with it as a birth mark or did she add it?
I also wonder why Emma has a star for a key chain, star on her birthday cake, there was a star on the tow truck if all of this ties together some how.
They already answered a little on the Tattoo–TV Guide Lightening Round 3.

Snow White is her name, like Mary Margret is her name in SB, but of course there she also has the last name of Blanchard. Rumpelstilksin didn’t have a last name. It’s quoted on his war letter as one name, not like his first name is Rump and his last name is Skin. Now I’ve just recalled RC and the Full Monty, and can’t stop giggling.

Well first, someone may have a difference of opinion about this, but Snow’s last name is not White. Her full first name is Snow White. In the traditional story her mother names her Snow White :
At the beginning of the story, a queen sits sewing at an open window during a winter snowfall when she pricks her finger with her needle, causing three drops of blood fall onto the snow on the ebony window frame. Admiring the beauty of the resulting color combination, she says to herself: “Oh, how I wish that I had a daughter that is as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and hair as black as that wood of the window frame”. Soon after, the queen indeed gives birth to a baby girl as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and with hair as black as ebony. They name her Snow White, and not long after, the queen dies
Most of the time she is just called Snow for simplicity sake, but her full first name is Snow White. Fairy tale characters don’t get last names usually. It’s not how that kind of magic and myth works. Emma’s last name is Swan because she grew up here and I believe she chose Swan for a specific reason, we may see that story at some point. The characters got last names in SB because they were part of the new world where last names exist and matter.

One can actually have two first names. My mom does.

Snow White of course would have her own story, and PC is part of it but I was wondering if his last name is tied to another story like Emma’s and Snow’s last names are I guess it isn’t 🙁
That’s how JMo explained it, but we don’t know WHY Emma chose it for herself. We are getting more Emma backstory as the show progresses so we may see why she chose that last name for herself.
Fairy tale characters just don’t have last names. They got last names when they came to SB because they were in this world now, but their last names were all reflections of who they had been before. But White is just the second part of Snow’s name.
