Count me in with those liking the idea of the split season. I’m still thinking the majority of S3 will involve NL though, so dunno that the end of the first mini-season will be them leaving. They’ve wanted to do NL for so long, I can’t really see them only showing it to us for 11 eps before leaving it behind.

“On a ship together,” I see what they did there. 😉 I do think that CaptainSwan will hook up. I think it’ll be a close friendship that will only tip over into relationship territory right before Nealfire shows up again. CaptainSwan will be just close enough that it’s an emotional conflict for them, because Emma really wants and needs to be with Nealfire, but she does genuinely care for Hook and doesn’t wanna hurt him. And seeing how close CaptainSwan have become will mess Nealfire up (coz he doesn’t have quite enough angst in his life) because he’ll want to be with Emma, but she may appear happy with Hook, and Nealfire wants her to be happy. And there’ll be animosity between CaptainFire because of the whole, “first you took my mother away from me and now you’ve taken the mother of my child away from me too.” I think it will all end in Hook stepping back though, because he’ll realise that SwanFire still love each other, and have much to sort out together.

Uh….
Technically, they are correct. They even said before the finale that there were only 3 beans. Tamara used 1 to get rid of Nealfire. GOAT used 1 to kidnap Henry. Charmingstiltskins&Co used 1 to go after them. That equals no more beans.
But all those frillions of beans that were in the field before Regina burned it were grown from a teeny tiny cutting off a bean plant, and they still have that whole plant in Regina’s office. I don’t see anything in K&H’s comment that prevents them re-growing more beans, they’re just saying that as of the season finale, there are no more beans. Or am I missing something?

This should be good stuff!
I’m gonna go right ahead and chalk this up to them being evasive, because I’ve totally convinced myself that there’ll be at least a little bit of Jefferson in the first ep. 😛

That will probably be the cliffhanger for the last episode before the break. If the first 11 episodes are like one season, then the main storyline has to be resolved by the end of it. If they remain in NL for the 2nd half of the season, it wouldn’t seem like 2 different seasons at all.
I think it will be just like season 2 when Emma and Snow got back to SB in the last episode before the break.
June 9, 2013 at 7:49 am #197615PheeParticipantI could see the first half of the season be “rescue Henry” and the second half of the season be, “defeat PP, set the inhabitants of NL free, and find a way back to SB”. Of course, rescuing Henry and defeating PP could both potentially happen at the same time.
It’s just that 11 eps doesn’t seem that long for K&H to let their toys play in the land that features in their favourite story, so I think they’d wanna draw it out as long as possible. Also keep in mind that not all of those 11 eps would be focused on NL, we also have MAP and Nealfire in FTL, plus Belle and the rest in SB, and all will be getting airtime. Divide 11 eps by 3 lands and you get maybe about 4 eps as the focus for each one, which isn’t nearly enough time spent on NL, (especially if they plan to do the Little Mermaid story detour while they’re there).
June 9, 2013 at 1:03 pm #197623RumplesGirlKeymasterMy new line of thinking, after this panel, is that:
episodes 1-11: a few FTL flashbacks but mostly Neal trying to get back to SB with MAP, Belle running SB LIKE A BOSS, and the hunt for Henry in NL. The first 11 episodes ends with a reunion all around and significantly weakening PP.
Episodes 12-22: the return to SB, more FTL flashbacks like normal, fighting THO in this world who have made their way to SB (headed by Dorothy), but PP shows up with his LOST ones around episode 20 for a big two part finale that finishes off PP and the NL story but moves us into a new land, hopefully Oz.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"June 9, 2013 at 3:07 pm #197637HappyEndingsSpectatorI think 11 eposides is enough with PP, Ariel will be brought in sometime but it doesn’t need to be tied to PP. SB and FL and be done in a couple of episodes like they did in the past.
As for David meeting Robinhood that is unluckly as the writers stated that they were basically done with RH.
So David story has to be on his Dad which I wonder if King George was to take care of the family like he promised David why were they still broke?June 9, 2013 at 4:05 pm #197647PheeParticipant@RumplesGirl wrote:

PP in our world would be awesome to see. Only reason I question that is that I was thinking just the other day about how perhaps PP needs to be fully defeated before anyone is able to leave NL, because he’s the one who holds the power that keeps everyone trapped there. That would mean that they won’t leave NL behind until they’re done with PP’s part in the story, which would surely last for longer than half a season. That speculation on my part could be completely off of course. Or maybe he does get stripped of his magic before they leave NL, but his now mortal self comes to our world to try and get it back and he wreaks some havoc in SB.

No, she doesn’t need to be tied to PP, but she will likely be tied to NL given the mentions of mermaids being there. If she’s introduced while they’re there, her story will need to be addressed in some fashion while they are in NL.

As stated by Eddy in this interview: http://www.tvguide.com/News/Once-Upon-Time-Lightning-Round7-Kitsis-Horowitz-Spoilers-1064265.aspx
Will Robin Hood (Tom Ellis) play a larger role in Season 3?
Kitsis: Can’t say. That translates to, “Yes, but we can’t confirm or elaborate.”

Good point. Unless whatever happens with Rumple, the prophecy, PP, and Henry leads to everyone being able to leave NL because PP didn’t get what he needed to make NL continue to run as it normally would.
The other option is that Neal and Belle get to NL by episode 11 and then we spend the first three episodes or so in NL, with everyone, before fleeing back to SB, where THO is waiting.@Phee wrote:

Yes, and as I suspect, if she is still a mermaid when we meet her, she could become human and even make her way to SB with the cast if her life is in danger. Or…she’s enamored of a certain Pirate.

That translates to, “Yes, but we can’t confirm or elaborate.”When Emilie did a bunch of interviews for Lacey, she said, “I don’t think we’ll see him(Robin Hood) for the rest of the season but I’m 99 percent sure he’ll be back next season”.
Emilie is friends with the actor so I’m assuming Adam and Eddy told him he’d likely be back, and then he told Emilie. They can change their minds though and it depends on if the actor is busy or not. So who knows.
June 9, 2013 at 4:24 pm #197656June 9, 2013 at 4:29 pm #197659betsypaige24ParticipantI like that the 2 halves are being treated like 2 seasons, except I’m guessing that means no Rumbelle reunion until very near the end of the first half.
I’m thrilled that Belle is getting a storyline, but what does it say about Adam/Eddy that the only way they can give her one is without Gold? I feel like they do “get” how powerful and deep Rumbelle love is, but they have no interest at all in writing them……….just in writing them apart. I mean, please Eddy – their relationship faces a challenge because they’re separated? They have been separated 99% of the time since Skin Deep – what they have is not so much a relationship as it is feelings and moments. Now they’re going to be separated, probably with no communication, for at least half a season. So when exactly do we see a relationship with them?
