I’ve decided that this year for my birthday (which isn’t until October), I’d like to have a Once Upon a Time themed party! I love doing themed parties- last year’s was NYC themed- I dressed up as Giselle from Enchanted. 🙂

So I’m trying to come up with ideas. (Yes, I know it’s early, but I get a kick out of doing this.) I know there will have to be some sort of apple dessert.

I love costumes so I definitely need to come up with one! I have brown hair so I’m thinking of going with Red or Snow, but I’m not sure which outfit or how to create it. (I don’t really sew.) Any suggestions?

Look through old stuff you have at home. That’s always a start. Try seeing if you have anything that resembles something of the costumes. The easiest to get is the blouse. If you don’t have any looking like the ones they wear, try a second-hand shop or just H&M, they sometimes have those. 😉 If you don’t have any long boots, you can always use flat shoes and wear long socks in the same colour.

If you get in a pinch, you could always dress as their Storybrooke counterparts. As far as food, there was a thread on here somewhere about food ideas for a OUaT themed party. I’ll try to find it.

What Giselle dress did you use before? I was going to suggest Snow White, since her active outfit might be easier to piece together a bit at a time, but if you’ve already done a ball gown – that could be reused??

lol- no, I’m not doing the sexy Ruby outfit. I’m leaning toward the full Little Red dress- I have light skin and brown hair so she is the best match physically.

My Giselle dress is the white wedding gown:

I found the thread about OUaT food. It’s called OUaT Food 🙂 https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=942&hilit=food

Such a fun idea for a party! You’ll need a bowl of True Love Potion Punch that goes straight your head. 😉 Oooo, and you need a candy covered gingerbread house!!

No sew cape with a hood: http://www.ehow.com/how_12020502_make-sew-cape-hood.html

It’d be fun if you had a round table, and you could paint a tablecloth for it to look like the table in the war council.

How about an “I will always find you” scavenger hunt, and have a list of fairytale items you’ve hidden around the place, and people have to find them and take pics. Whoever gets the most wins a prize.

If you need a “Extreme Fairy Tale Activity” game, I have one (just needs to be translated). 😉 Though you’d probably need some space.

Blue star shaped candles on your birthday cake! 😉

Maybe cut out cardboard in the shape of Regina’s mirror frame, and have “Who’s the fairest of them all?” on it somewhere, and have a little photo booth kinda deal set up, so people can pose in the frame.
