Love that one! Neal’s face when Henry says, “Second star to the right and straight on till morning,” is perfect. He’s all, “Hook shows up and now my kid is talking about NL? DO NOT WANT!”

Oh that one with Neal and Henry is AWESOME!  I really wish they’d kept it.

Watched the deleted scenes so far. I agree that the scene with Neal and Henry shouldn’t have been cut, but alas the time limits of TV. =/

I didn’t like it the language wasn’t appropriate in my opinion. With Neal.

The Emma and Snow scene should have stayed in.

I think the language was very appropriate in this scene, because right after Neal says it, he has a moment of, “Ooops,” which shows that he’s not used to being around kids and has much to learn if he wants to be a dad. I’m not usually around kids, and I typically swear as part of my everyday language without giving it a second thought, so sometimes when I’m around my friends’ kids, one slips out, and I have a moment just like Neal did in that scene. Was a very real moment and a nice little touch of character development for Neal IMO.

@Punk_Bunny_87 42.5 min an episode. Hard choices need to be made.

    Thought I’d ask.

I vote some ads should be cut so we can have at least a 50 minute episode of OUAT.

That is just an excuse to allow swearing on TV, they could have handled it in another way to express the fact he hasn’t been around kids. You know I just don’t think it is very cute, clever or even funny to swear it is a bad habit and a lot or people don’t want to hear swearing around them or their kids that is just my opinion. Beside what do you gain out of talking like an old sailor 🙁

Mmmhm. I agree in principle but ads are what funds the show and so I think the more ads people want to stick into Once = the more popular and valuable the network see it as which in turn = better ratings share.

    1. Henry (Jared and kids in general) have probably heard a lot worse at school.
    2. That scene was natural. Neal said it without much thought then corrected himself, realising that he shouldn’t really say that in front of his child.
    3. Neal used it to describe the difficulty of navigating the ship, he wasn’t directing it at Emma or any other woman. Had he used it in that context in front of Henry then they’d be more issue with it.
