I feel like the ratings would have to drop well below the Season 3 ratings to be in the cancellation danger territory. Plus, those higher numbers for the first few Season 4 numbers will still have an effect on the Season 4 ratings average. The ratings average is what they really look at, when deciding the fate of a show. So if Once were to end this Season, I feel like it would come down to cast member contracts expiring (if they do after this Season), or a creative decision to wrap the show up before things to prevent staleness and if the writers are running out of ideas.

I agree. At this point the ratings would have to fall fairly drastically for them to axe us at the end of S4. So unless A and E have already discussed this with ABC or the actors want out, then yeah…S5 is pretty much a safe bet. (A full S5 at that)

Ratings News for episode 406 “Family Business”

There was a delay so there is no early overall analysis, but the earliest demo numbers are predicting a 2.7

Will update when they are official.

Actually, no. It went up .1 in demo ratings. Breaking Glass’ final adjusted rating was a 2.4, and it was previously a 2.3. I would say the World Series being over is a reason why ratings are slightly back up.
