December 15, 2014 at 9:51 am #293283RumplesGirlKeymasterFirst rating numbers are in for the mid season finale, “Heroes and Villains”
And it led into always demo friendly “Once Upon a Time” at a 3.8/ 6 (#3) at 8 p.m.
I think we are probably looking at a slight uptick, but at the very least staying steady in the demos. They will be out soon!
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"December 15, 2014 at 11:06 am #293300RumplesGirlKeymasterSo far it’s looking that I was a bit wrong in my prediction and our demo is going to be a titch lower than last week’s 2.0.
So far, our top 25 market is a 1.9. Stay tuned, full numbers coming soon

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"December 15, 2014 at 11:09 am #293301RumplesGirlKeymasterFull set of numbers for “Heroes and Villains”
Number of live Viewers: 5.65 million
Demo: 1.7

That matches our series low from a year go (Bleeding Through). It’s not a NEW series low, though.

Ouch! I don’t think Frozen did Once any favors, probably because of the awkward way in which it was inserted into an already-crowded Once universe. 4×1 had S1-high ratings only to fall to rock bottom in 4×11. With all the Frozen characters getting all the flashbacks, it felt a little too redundant and too crowded with all the pre-existing Once characters. The timeline was also too confusing and too self-contradicting. The show has too many glaring plot holes, convenient plot devices, amnesia, and inconsistencies now for Frozen to have saved it.

Also I think that the fact they basically wrapped up Frozen in a nice shiny mirrored bow last week meant that viewers who were in it for that arc didn’t feel very compelled to watch this week. I mean, why would they care about that Belle who had like one episode?
Keeper of Belle's Gold magic, sand dollar, cloaks, purple FTL outfit, spell scroll, library key, copy of Romeo and Juliet, and cry-muffling pillow, Rumple's doll, overcoat, and strength, and The Timeline. My spreadsheet: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6r8CySCCWd9R0RUNm4xR3RhMEU/view?usp=sharing

December 15, 2014 at 2:17 pm #293331MatthewPaulModeratorThe ratings typically take a dive for the Winter finale. And if you look at the full chart, ratings were lower for the entire night.
7:00PM FOX NFL Football 5.8 17 17.14
NBC Football Night in America 2.2 7 6.88
CBS 60 Minutes 1.7 5 11.57
ABC Backstage With Disney on Broadway 0.5 1 2.93
7:30PM FOX The OT 3.5 10 9.52
NBC Football Night in America 3.4 10 10.29
8:00 PM NBC Football Night in America 5.6 16 16.93
FOX The Simpsons -R 2.0 6 5.04
CBS Undercover Boss 1.7 5 8.95
ABC Once Upon A Time 1.7 5 5.60
8:30PM NBC Sunday Night Football 7.7 21 21.82
FOX Brooklyn Nine-Nine 1.5 4 3.53
9:00PM ABC Barbara Walters 10 Most Fascinating People of 2014(9-11PM) 1.4 4 7.70
FOX Family Guy -R 1.4 4 3.14
CBS The Mentalist 1.3 3 8.41
9:30PM FOX Bob’s Burgers 1.2 3 2.53
10:00PM CBS CSI 1.2 4 7.42Based on what we saw going from Season 3A to 3B, ratings will likely go back up quite a bit for the Season 4B premiere. Not too high, though. A 2.4 at the very most. And if anyone seriously thinks the show’s in the cancellation danger territory for this Season, think again. We’re very likely getting Season 5. Even if the ratings for 4B are lower than 4A, it’s the overall ratings average for the entire Season that matters in the very end:
