First bit of ratings news is in for the season finale 421/422 “Operation Mongoose, part 1 and 2”

Right now, no demos are up but overall household shares are: 3.3/6.

We’re probably looking at a 1.7-1.8 in the demo? That’s my guess at the moment

8-9 pm (first hour: Operation Mongoose part 1)

Live Viewers: 5.51 million

9-10 pm (second hour: Operation Mongoose part 2)

Live Viewers: 5.33 million.

Not surprising to see a slight drop in the second hour, Game of Thrones is on at 9pm. We’ll have some thoughts in a little bit about the ratings of the season overall and what we might expect next year.

Every season of ONCE has premiered UP from the previous season finale. However, each season’s increase gradually declines. For example:

Season One Premiere Ratings : 4.0

Season One Finale Ratings: 3.3

Season Two Premiere Ratings: 3.9

Season Two Final Ratings: 2.3

Season Three-A Premiere Ratings: 2.6

Season Three-A Finale Ratings: 1.9

Season Three-B Premiere Ratings: 2.4

Season Three-B Finale Ratings : 2.3

What does this mean for us tonight? All things considered, we will see an increase. I still predict a 2.4-2.6 ratings for tomorrow. The first episode back is usually strong enough that our second episode stays about the same. The third episode is normally when we begin to see a slight decrease and then the ratings decrease slightly until we hit the “floor.”

TVbytheNumbers is having a poll to guess the ratings for tonight for those interested. So far the numbers are split between 2.7-2.9 and 2.4-2.6

The two-hour season finale of Once Upon A Time scored a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating, with each hour earning a 1.7, even with last week.

The 50 Most Watched Shows (Broadcast) for the 2014-2015 season

Once Upon A Time (season 4) ranked #48/50 with an overall 8.98 million viewers (by comparison the number one scripted TV show–because football shouldn’t count–was The Big Bang Theory with 19.05 million)

In terms of ABC shows, it is the ninth most watched show for the network (if you take DWTS results show as separate from DWTS show itself). The most watched ABC show is DWTS with 14.76 million
