I am glad we know now too instead of them randomly ending like with Castle. There have been a lot of things out there suggesting this was the end. Lana getting to direct and these rumors that people were looking for other shows.

–The two-part finale will be called “Happily Ever After”
–Rumple will die and be reunited with Belle and Bae in the afterlife
–Henry will take Ella and Lucy home to Storybrooke to meet Emma, Real!Hook, and Snowing. We won’t see any of these characters but the final shot will be Henry driving over the town line in an oddly familiar looking yellow bug.
–The exact final image will be the Storybrooke sign.
–The characters we met in HH–Alice, Robyn, Tiana–will continue to live there.
–Zelena goes back to San Francisco to marry Chad.
–I’m honestly not sure about Regina; she either goes home with Henry or decides to stay in HH with her new love interest.

I think the end of the story needs to be about going forward rather than looking back to what’s already past. “Happily Ever After”, the traditional bookend to “Once Upon A Time”, is about endings, so make it the title of the second-last episode. Something that speaks of new beginnings would be good for the final episode.
Rumpel will be free of the dagger. He’ll treasure his remaining years of life, grateful for the opportunity to spend time with his family as his great-granddaughter grows up.
Storybrooke symbolizes childhood, which the characters have grown out of. The Season 7 cast won’t be returning there, but they might prepare to receive visitors from the old town.
Henry’s writer’s block has paralleled the curse. With the curse lifted, Henry will have material and inspiration for a new book, the title of which will be the final episode’s title. The closing scene will be of Henry typing away at his keyboard. “They’re here!” calls Lucy, and Henry looks out the window to see a yellow Volkswagen arriving.
(I know, Maine to Seattle in an old VW bug… Let’s say they drove through a portal.)

And most importantly, Once Podcast, I’ll miss all of you. While we may not have spoken personally, coming to know your thoughts and personalities through opinions of discussions on the show have been a highlight of my day for 7 years. I’m wholeheartedly going to miss every one of you. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your worlds.
February 6, 2018 at 10:10 pm #345470hjbauParticipantI don’t think that they will show Storybrooke again either. I think Henry writing again makes a lot of sense. I think Regina will get a guy and they will pretend that is a happy ending. I think Rumpel will be not the dark one and die and be reunited with Belle. They haven’t even pretended that they are treating Rumpel as Henry’s grandfather and Lucy’s great grandfather, so i don’t think that will be relevant to the plot. Rumpel might die saving Henry from the poison. Henry and Ella will get together. Zelena will get with her guy. Alice and Robyn will get together. Pretty much everyone will have romantic love and that will be the end because these writers are terrible and don’t understand anything about people or family or love, so it will be very straight forward and old fashion.
I can’t believe they are talking in these articles about being proud of Snow holding a sword. In the first episode. Snow never really had a sword of her own is the problem. She had her bow, but she was never really shown being a warrior except a little bit in Season 2A and she was never shown as a good leader. In the end, this show was extremely old fashion and was about the women needing men and babies to live happily ever after.
