Outcome of Reunion???

What do you all think the reunion between Rumple & Bealfire will be like, IF it happeneds at all. All Neal being Bea theories aside, we know nothing of what this young man turned out like. Do you all think Rumple may have some plans for his son? Or will he leave it at that if/when he finds him. This really is anyone’s guess. What do you all think?

I dont think it’s going to be a happy reunion at all…After all he did sort of abandon him so there’s issues from that end and then consider the whole Milah thing and it’s not going to be pretty at all

There has been too much that Baelfire has gone through to ever just let it all slide and embrace his father warmly and forgive him for everything instantly.

He killed numerous innocent people in front of Baelfire, and expected him to be okay with it. He scared off all of the only friends his son ever had in the world. And he chose magic over his own son–he even admitted to it to August in The Return.

There is also the fact that Rumpelstiltskin killed Milah–I don’t care what she did, I don’t care that she wasn’t a good mother. She still gave birth to him, she was still Baelfire’s mother, and when Bae finds out that her murdered her, he will be angrey, hurt, afraid, and untrusting of his father.

Also, Bae never wanted his father to hurt people. In fact, he kept trying to stop him from doing so. When Bae learns that he created a curse that would make people misery, killed more innocent people, manipulated others, and bargained for and sold babies it would hurt him.

I don’t expect it to be a happy reunion. When Milah left with Hook, the only thing Bae knew at that point was that his mom died. I doubt Rumpel went home and said to him, your mom took off with a pirate. No. And when Hook and Milah came back to the same port, Bae was already long gone by that point. So, I can see Bae being sympathetic to Rumpel about his mom – why he was mad with her. That may sway him towards his side a bit, but not all the way.

I’d like to see them trying to reconcile over a long period. Not, I’m sorry son that I abandoned you over one episode. I would hate that.

Depending on what happened to Bae since the bean and how he grew up I think can determine how this reunion will go. Also I think other things as well as people will factor into the reunion like where they are, whats going on, as well as Emma and Henry being there. No matter who Bae turns out to be having Emma as well as Henry will change the attitude of he reunion. Bae is seeing two people who would have had completely different lives if he did not use the bean, so that will affect the reunion greatly.

Reunion is probably going to be the most angst ridden scene for ONCE yet – And I’m kind of excited to see it. We have some heartbreaking scenes coming up for Rumple and if spoilers are correct MRJ.

I see them actually start to patch things up by the end of this season/beginning of next – and then Bae learns what happened to Milha. I could see them working a sort of trend for them: they start to bond and figure out what their relationship is now and then…Bae learns another detail about his father’s past. There’s certainly enough to keep Bae livid.

Do wonder if Hook will still be in Storybrooke when Bae shows up? If Milha was the love of his life, pretty sure he’d seek out her son – not only because Bae would be a part of Milha still alive but also as a potential ally. And again, if Neal is Bae – guy seems clever enough to play all sides as he pieces together the story – could be quite the cliffhanger in who he sides with in the end. 😀

Indeed. There’s a lot of patching up they need to do. That won’t happen overnight. If the aspect of Captain Hook is there to tell him the whole story about his mother, that will particularly complicate their relationship, if he knew that his father killed his mother. Their relationship will be rocky, cordial at best. At least, for a while.
