Robin and Marian and Roland went over the town line and out into our world. Will we see them again? And what do you think their life is like out there? Did Robin make the right choice?

According to Sean Maguire…this is not the end of OutlawQueen story, and to have faith.
No clue what their life is like out there, and if I’m going to be completely honest…death is still gonna try to take Marian, so she may wanna avoid crazy taxi cabs and plum seeds.
Robin’s choice…being stuck in a loveless marriage, though we maybe surprised if Robin and Marian just co parent Roland, and actually divorce out in the real world. He’ll definetly be coming back at some point…
Also noticed that Robin took Regina’s ring…

This might play a role in reuniting the two of them, if they ever will.

December 15, 2014 at 4:48 am #293252Heart of DarknessParticipantI am so tired of this whole “town line” thing. The explanation was very hand-wavey: “Oh it’s Ingrid’s leftover magic and there’s absolutely nothing we can do”. Didn’t they say that when Ingrid cast the Spell of Shattered Sight, it took all of her magic? (Hence Arendelle melting)
And the only reason Marian was still freezing was for the OutlawQueen drama. There’s no real reason for it to have happened.
December 15, 2014 at 8:43 am #293272RumplesGirlKeymasterSo we can’t send Marian out into our world by herself but we can send her with Robin, the guy who has been living in our world for maybe a month at best, but living in a tent and hunting wild game?

I think Robin made the right choice. He had to save the life of his son’s mother. However, I felt bad for Marian, because Robin basically said within her earshot that he chose Regina. So that doesn’t sound like laying a good foundation to give it go again with Marian now that he basically had no other choice but to save her. As for Marian, I agree with her perspective that she wants someone to choose her. So it’s got to suck from her perspective too knowing Robin basically sees her as the old ball and chain (through no fault of her own). The entire situation just sucked and was set up so there could be no “winners” because Robin won’t easily be able to get Regina out of his head, Regina is heartbroken, and Marian is stuck with a husband in love with another woman.
So we canât send Marian out into our world by herself but we can send her with Robin, the guy who has been living in our world for maybe a month at best, but living in a tent and hunting wild game?
Good point. It’s not as though Marian could even be independent of Robin in this new land. They can’t just file for a divorce or hire lawyers. Marian and Robin are from a pre-industrial society in which peasants such as themselves were probably illiterate without any real knowledge of modern technology. They have no identification or money. They are going to be forced to rely on one another out in the real world, especially since neither one is experienced in A Land Without Magic. Good thing Robin is an experienced thief, since how else are they going to survive the night, let alone get anywhere? (How did Rumple survive for 6 weeks and afford bus passage to NYC?)
As for Robin and Marian, they could still rekindle that earlier flame and fall back in love, or at the very least, forge a platonic love and remain steadfast friends for the sake of their son. I think the best situation would be Robin falling back in love with Marian the more he comes to remember that earlier love. It is possible to fall back in love with someone you loved before, especially now that they are the only two adults from their world, alone against the world, fending for their son. Yet, the way it was written was such that it seems that Robin is going to carry a flame for Regina.

Ingrid’s magic was so plot devicey in this ep. It’s gone enough to break the big bad nasty evil spell so everyone’s safe. It’s gone enough that they can take the wall down. It’s not gone enough to take down the town barrier. It’s gone enough that Marian thawed out. It’s not gone enough that she can’t re-freeze. What is consistency?!?!?
The entire situation just sucked and was set up so there could be no âwinnersâ because Robin wonât easily be able to get Regina out of his head, Regina is heartbroken, and Marian is stuck with a husband in love with another woman.
Yup, pretty much. I didn’t like how Marian was treated. She was even willing to stand up and step aside and was more understanding of the situation than I’d have been. But then they had to go and have her standing in front of everyone at the town line with every single one of them looking at her and knowing that Robin was only leaving with her out of forced obligation. That’s humiliating for her.

It’s infuriating that they established in the previous ep that old love can be rekindled and just forgot about it in this ep.
I’m sure Robin will be back. I’m sure the ring will play a part and it’ll be incredibly romantic when he finds a way back to Regina and puts the ring back on her finger. And I’m sure I still won’t warm up to them because I’m just not a fan of how they’ve been written thus far.

No, he did not. Regina was wearing her ring on her right hand, not the left. You can see it when she ripped the page after Robin stepped over the town line.
