There was a line in David’s speech at the end that makes me think that David could still be the Prince’s real name when he says “Storybrooke David” why say it like that?

I really would like to see her struggle between good & evil but this time coming out victoriously good 🙂
Love watching Mr. Gold slowly bringing in his Rumple mannerisms.
I also think we are seeing all realms merging into one as they all collided and splintered when the dark curse hit.
All in all, I think we’re in for one heck of a great season. To think how we all wondered how will they top Season 1 now that the curse had broke. LOL!

😆 Super Imp! Looks like Rumpel’s magic finally got the better of him. He paid by being stuck in SB.

Yes, Robert Carlyle is an artistic genius! His scenes are usually my favorite part of any episode he’s in.

Really liked seeing more Regina’s backstory. Kinda filled in the gap between Daniel’s death and her evil reign ten years later. So she really didn’t want to become like her mother right after, but was rather consumed by evil power, kinda like Rumpel. It seems to be a theme/pattern with the villains. Quite tragic. 🙁
One question, though, that I think hasn’t been answered yet (I really didn’t want to start a new thread for it)– Rumpel was planning on leaving, presumably to find his son, right? So , my question is: why was he so hellbent on bringing magic to storybrooke in the first place? If he left, he wouldn’t be bringing the magic with him, naturally…was he planning on returning with Bae? Or staying out for good? And if he was not planning on returning, then again, WHY bring magic and have it be contained in the town? Gah. I’m stumped. Am I missing something? 😆

I really loved this episode, a lot more than I did the last one. (though I must say the premiere was awesome too.) My only issues were Charming seeming not to care about Henry until the very end. And Regina’s wedding dress. It was terrible. Who would wear something that would make your hips look that wide? Not me!
I don’t think it hit Charming until the very end to actually do something. Most likely he thought there was nothing he could possibly do since she obviously got her powers back. After he gave his speech, he didn’t care and that’s when he went after him. I mean, Henry got taken half way through the episode so it really wasn’t that long until Charming got him back.
It was something that he needed to realize and that conversation with Red is when he really opened his eyes. What was he gonna bring his family back to if he didn’t take care of the town? Even if his wife and daughter were missing he still had a grandson to take care of. He needed to realize all of his responsibilities.
Exactly, he had so much put on his shoulder. The town, Henry, finding a way to bring Emma and Snow back. All of that together is a lot. Plus, like I said earlier, what could he really have done with Regina’s powers back? He didn’t know that she would hand him right over.

There were a lot of moments i loved, Rumple’s little hissy fit, “Can the nuns date?” JEFFERSON, Charming getting his spine back now that he has his memories, and Regina letting Henry go. I did kind of like how MM and Emma weren’t really in it. Now that the curse has been broken, i think it’s good that they show it as an ensemble cast rather than just about Emma’s role as savior.
All in all a really good epp, but I liked the last one better.
October 8, 2012 at 9:57 pm #156115elleParticipantI really enjoyed this episode. Love getting more of Regina’s backstory, and her desire for redemption was touching, but I somehow have my doubts that it will end well. Both Regina and Rumpelstiltskin are people who love power–even the people they love seem to suffer whenever they try to reason with them. Also, I am wondering why Regina still married King Leopold–Cora was gone, and Rumpelstiltskin was eager to teach her magic. She had wanted Cora gone so she could escape. What made her change her mind about the marriage? ❓
I really missed Emma and Snow White–but I the episode was enaging enough to make me forgive the few scenes they were given. Still, I wonder why Mulan is blaming them for Prince Philip’s ‘death?’ And why hasn’t anyone recognized that Snow White is–or was?–Queen? Unless she is not from their area, perhaps?
With Cora, I am guessing that she lost her powers–why else is she in prison, not having tried to escape?

I think it could be explained by 1 of 2 things, 1- they don’t know SW (although if they knew Regina was casting a curse, they should know it was aimed at SW & PC) or 2- they don’t recognise her- her hair is short & she is wearing weird clothing after all (plus Emma keeps calling her MM lol) 😉
October 9, 2012 at 4:07 am #156149angiebelleParticipantI thought this episode was particularly awesome- seeing Regina at the very beginning of her corruption, seeing Rumple have a moment of weakness, seeing Regina and Rumple meet for the first time, and best of all: Regina finally admitting a desire to be redeemed. My jaw hit the figurative floor when she let Henry go home with the prince. As evil as she has been in the past, I can’t help but root for her to turn over a leaf. It’s like that line in the musical Wicked, “The most celebrated are the rehabilitated.” Of course, it both Rumple and Regina turn over, we’ll need new villains!
Another great part of this episode was the whole “we are both” theme in which we deal with the characters having two identities. I loved the prince’s speech at the end. I’m also thrilled to see that August is alive. I can’t wait to see more reunions.
You know, I think it’s about time Rumple *told* someone about his whole quest to find his son. Then he wouldn’t have to go it alone- especially if he finally confided in Belle. It would prove that deep down, he does have a heart.
October 9, 2012 at 5:28 am #156153nonnieParticipantAs for not seeing SNOW….. WE saw Little Snow in parts of the episode…. My gdSon was watching the part where Regina choked little Snow and it scared him…. I had some cuddling to do after that….
I think there will be times that Snow / Emma are being filmed in other scenes else where while the actions of Regina / Gold / SB are being filmed.I like how the segment of a story is fully explored and we get information that answers questions before we get more questions. All action and no character development would make the show uninteresting to me. I love the interaction between the characters and am willing to wait until the story develops.
