That was an odd looking phone August used in Ep. 19 The Return.
The handset was GREEN and the body of the phone looked metallic. It looked like a phone one might find in Oz. It had the good old rotary dial, too.
August tumbled out of bed and stumbled to the phone. He dialed maybe, TWO numbers – three at the most. I immediately thought “OZ” or Letter “O” and Number Zero but he may have dialed three, which, would blow that theory. HOWEVER…
It takes 7 numbers for local and 1+(xxx) xxx-xxxx for long distance… to Kansas, for example.
No way he dialed more than 4 numbers ON A ROTARY DIAL.So, Is there someone else staying at the Inn and the two numbers dialed their room?
Did he direct dial Regina or someone with an axe to grind, like Sydney…Maleficent…who was it?
Did August call across time & space and into Oz?I do not believe it was Henry he spoke to. Why did August ask “Are you there?“
Most people answer “Hello.” So, there was no response on the phone or it was a “hold on a sec” (while I make sure no one is listening) moment. Then, “Are you there…Good…this is taking too long, we need to accelerate the plan“What plan is he wanting to accelerate and who is in on the plan?
Toto on the pages that held the image of the dagger could just be a ruse/false clue for Oz. However, who gave August the image of the dagger? Bae was probably the only living person to ever be that close to Rumples secret and the dagger and it seems unlikely, he’d tote around an image.
August is in cahoots with or working for someone and needs the plan in hyper drive before whatever is rusting or splintering his insides erupts into full force. Is August’s identity The Tin Man? Pinocchio?
Thoughts?

April 23, 2012 at 11:20 pm #143351dorothyParticipantWho knows? He could’ve called anyone from that phone, although it was weird that he only dialed two numbers. What we do know for sure is that he’s working with someone.

As far as the dog paper weight I couldn’t tell if it was a dog or a donkey…if it is a donkey then I guess we have some answers…I just can’t make out what it is…

I’ve been entertaining the notion the Blue Fairy is out for her own gain and may have ties to other worlds. The dark curse needed some sort of dark fairy dust, probably.
I think the relationship is like pusher to junkie and now the junkie needs his magic fix to heal – but not without a price – or by doing a little favor. We need something completely “out of the blue” to twist up our notions of good and evil. I’m also thinking Regina/Evil Queen is Alice The Queen gone bad. She's been to Wonderland before and the Queen of Hearts “sees her as something of a threat”. Perhaps, Fairy Magic goes bad after repeated use. Tinkerbell had a temper, didn’t she?Anyway, I think we get that one heart’s desire wish and all other wishes have to used to help others. Otherwise, it come with a price.

Yeah, I could see where it might be a donkey, too. That fits with Pinocchio and Lampwick/Candlewick – and Lorenzini of PLEASURE ISLAND, who turned the boys into donkeys (cursed WATER) and in the story, he turned into a leviathan (the storie’s whale/terrible dogfish/ Monstro). Seen any whales around Storybrooke lately 😉 I wonder if Storybrooke or the Psyche Ward in the Hospital is Pleasure Island?

That would be hilarious! 😆 I would love for that happen. 😉
April 24, 2012 at 7:09 pm #143738hjbauParticipantI know. That would be so funny. I could laugh for days if they did that.
