@Phee just posted this in that chat but she’s off to bed cause Aussie’s are from the future, so I’ll post it for her.
We think that they are going to lock PP inside the box and bring it back to SB. We’ve seen pics of Rumple holding the box on the docks in SB from the 310 shoot. But then somehow the box opens and PP is released into SB. That’s how he got there! He didn’t follow them, he was brought in the box for safekeeping but someone opened it. It fits really well with the myth of Pandora’s box too: someone opens it and all evil spills out.

Well maybe when he still locked up we can shake him around in the box and make him sick. (Thinking of Pan all crunched up in such tiny itty bitty living space)
November 9, 2013 at 2:22 pm #222524obisgirlParticipantWell when I was crackpot speculating about it the other day, I said that Blue = Pandora who opened the box and let all the evil out way back when, and so now the box is empty and they’re gonna trap Pan in it.
*claps hands* this theory delights me.
It delights me too 🙂
November 9, 2013 at 2:24 pm #222527lisasParticipantHere is my thoughts I think the curse happens because they try to use Pandora’s Box to defeat Peter Pan when the box is opened the new curse is released but I don’t think they are going back to the EF I suspect the EF is coming to SB. I also suspect it brings all the nasty things like ogres from EF to SB along with RH the Merry Men, MAP, etc
November 9, 2013 at 2:27 pm #222532obisgirlParticipantInteresting theory @lisas. If that’s the case, it would cause all kinds of chaos in Storybrooke.
November 9, 2013 at 2:48 pm #222535betsypaige24ParticipantWhy, oh, WHY did they spoil this? I know this was speculated about, but this is WRONG. I am SOOO annoyed; this is a major plot point that ABC just revealed. This is not the first time they’ve done this. Nope, I’m not annoyed actually, I’m pissed OFF.
That aside, hope is in the box, I suppose. Since Pan wants people to lose hope – Lost Boys of their parents ever caring enough about them, Gold – an ex-Lost Boy – of his son forgiving him, Emma of maybe even forgiving her parents- it seems to me that Gold intends to release HOPE into NL. Once this is done, Pan’s mind games can no longer work on anyone. THAT is Pan’s fate worse than death- losing his believers.
I love, LOVE this – and it was my baby who thought of it. Why? Because he had already regained his hope of seeing Belle again!
November 9, 2013 at 3:16 pm #222539TheGoldenKeyParticipantWell done Phee! 🙂 You called it the other day on another thread that was already opened about the box.

November 9, 2013 at 3:29 pm #222541maryrose d.ParticipantThis is going to get ugly though. I mean Pandora’s box goes to the core of humanities flaws plus the whole curiosity thing. After all the box was originally a gift but in truth it was just revenge for the whole Prometheus fire thing. My question is if they use this thing on Pan to capture him and bring him back to SB then does it release the hope that remains inside. This is a show about hope, so it begs the question what occurs when hope is literally lost from the box. This may just be the story arc for the second half of the season, and it will be much worse than Pan because there doesn’t need to be a big bad, the main characters will me their own worst enemies.

Because the ABC marketing department is run by monkeys?

Sometimes we spend so much time getting really intricate and in depth that we miss the obvious. I love us.

Yes gotta remember the whole story. Zeus wasn’t just being a nice guy or anything. He knew Pandora would open it becuase he gifted her with curiosity.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"November 9, 2013 at 5:10 pm #222552SlurpeezParticipantThe question is, what’s inside? In the myth, Pandora opened her now famous box and all the evil within was let out, but she closed it before the final thing could leave: Hope. If the box was opened once before then there shouldn’t be anything inside except hope. But what if they want to capture Pan’s shadow and put it inside the box?
The once caption says: “Legend says that it contains the world’s darkest evil.” So, what constitutes the world’s darkest evil? Could it be absence of hope? Unbelief? What?
