Though, admittedly, the idea of Arthur turning into a dragon and having a child with Maleficent just doesn’t sit right with me, so I’d much rather it be Medraut/Mordred Pendragon, which I think would just be far more fitting all-around, but I’m not holding my breath on that

Are there any actual dragons of note in Arthurian Legend? Like, I know the show Merlin had that one dragon in particular that was chained up in the cave and gave Merlin guidance, but I dunno if he was based on a pre-existing character or was an original creation? I think I’d prefer someone like that be the baby daddy, rather than them taking a character who isn’t known for being or turning into a dragon and just tacking it onto their character.

Not strictly speaking, no. In Geoffrey of Monmouth’s History of the Kings of Britain, there’s an incident or vision of sorts where a red dragon fights and overcomes a white dragon, where the red dragon was said to represent the Welsh and their ultimate/eventual victory over the white Saxon invaders. That motif has been expanded on or alluded to in various works (like the two dragons on Merlin), but there aren’t any actual, characterized dragons in the various legends that I can recall.

Just putting it out there that the Apprentice’s/Sorcerer’s fake publishing company was called “Star Publishing”.

Morgan le Fay as the black fairy? (Argh, I should’ve read the Merlin thread before posting this.)

As a dragon you probably don’t run into any other dragons on a regular basis, so if one happens to come along, I guess you just seize the day and ask no questions.

Merlin, as I posted earlier is the obvious choice, but the fact that the Pendragons are a part of the Camelot mythos makes me wonder if they would make Arthur or Mordrid the father. I’m still going with Merlin, though.

I’m not gonna lie…it’s been bothering me since the episode…how did those dragons get down? In the sky? On the mountain top? What if a passing by peasant saw that! How the heck did they do it???!!! I haven’t been this confused since Shrek’s Donkey and Dragon had babies!!!!!!!

My first thought was a fly by, but then I thought what about the people in the EF would have heard.

I can’t get the image of Charming shoving the egg containing his DNA into Mal out of my head.  It would be an interesting twist if it turns out this was the catalyst for Lily’s conception.  Emma and Lily…sisters???  We did see a parallel with the scene where Lily was kneeling before Emma telling Emma to shoot her and the scene where Dr. Frankenstein’s brother was kneeling before him and the brother pulled the gun to his forehead asking Dr. Frankenstein to shoot him.  It is a long shot but I think they parallelled the scene to at the very least cause us to wonder.

Edited to add – Why was the container holding the vial of true love shaped like an egg?  The container could have been shaped like a box or a sphere or many other shapes but it was shaped like an egg…a golden egg.
