Papa Jones is REALLY….. (Crack-Theory)

Okay, so this theory probably won’t come true… But I think its fun to try so here we go:

We’ve seen Papa Jones before. We just didn’t know it.

So we know a few things: 1) Papa Jones is old. 2) He encountered someone with magic who, for whatever reason, cursed him. 3) He was taken care of by a woman who someone managed to fall in love with a sleeping man and eventually kissed him awake (CREEP ALERT! CREEP ALERT!) 3) Regina knew about Hook’s father. and 4) Papa Jones has a child.

So what if the woman who cursed him is the same woman who kissed him awake? Honestly, she’d have to know him personally, intimately to have fallen in love with him (SERIOSULY! WHO FALLS IN LOVE WITH A MAGIC SLEEPING CORPSE!!!!!) And then why kiss him? She had to have known the kiss would awaken him! She either knows magic or at least the basics of it (that TLK breaks all curses) either way, this woman is a magical woman.

So I think they were together, but his heart wandered to a certain woman. Named Briar Rose, whom he conceived a child with, Liam II. His True Love, angered, turn him into a beast and set out to curse Briar Rose with her sleeping curse.

He was a beast forever until Regina freed him, and he and his son went on to live in peace. Until Hook showed up basically.

Anyway, we’ve seen Papa Jones before.

And this was him.

Yep. Maleficent was his TL. And Maleficent has actually done exactly what I said, but to Aurora and Phillip. She cursed Aurora to sleep and turned Phillip into a monster. So its not out of the question.

This could be why Maleficent is evil and angry. Everyone else lost their TL’s to death. She just lost hers to another woman (possibly what regina meant when she said “weren’t you about the same age when that sleeping beauty go the best of you?”) and it must really tear her up inside, so much so that she doesn’t even wish to tell his daughter who he was, saying she doesn’t know him because she was in dragon form when “it” happened. Unless…..unless they just get down like that, but who knows.

Oh, it could also explain why she wanted the gauntlet even though she’d already had her “happy ending” (Aurora was cursed at the time) so there had to have been someone else who was keeping her from happiness and she wanted to use the fauntlet to get revenge.

Idk. It sounded better in my head.
