The neat thing about social networking is that it gives the fans the chance to directly interact with the cast and crew. The nice thing is that many of them DO acknowledge your messages and some even respond back with a message of their own. Which ones have you had the pleasure of hearing back from, and do you have any fun stories related to that? If you met any of them in person, that’s even better! Feel free to share pictures you took with them, if you did! I’ll share some of my interactions.
Lana Parrilla – https://twitter.com/LanaParrilla/status/313522358260469761
– This literally just happened last night. Lana made a joke about how the car scene in “Welcome to Storybrooke” would have been better with music from Space Mountain, and I was crazy enough to actually edit it together! She said it “made her night.”Meghan Ory (Red/Ruby) – https://twitter.com/meghanrory/status/313076013133352961
– I had saw this wine called “Once Upon a Vine: Big Bad Red Blend” at the liquor store this past Saturday, and I couldn’t resist tweeting a picture of it to Meghan. She was amused enough to share it with her followers!Sonequa Martin-Green (Tamara) – https://twitter.com/SonequaMG/status/313700337603194882
– I told Sonequa about how I was looking forward to seeing more Tamara and getting to know her better, and she was flattered!Johnny Pyper-Ferguson (Kurt) – https://twitter.com/Johnny_Pypes/status/313500497216671744
– This also happened last night. Johnny was nice enough to tweet back with a joke!Keegan Connor Tracy (Blue) – https://twitter.com/keegolicious/status/311326468737220609
– She gave me a star!Jamie Chung (Mulan) – https://twitter.com/jamiechung1/status/263522049702633472
– https://twitter.com/ItachiIshtar/status/298245323191615489
– First time, I randomly asked her about the recent Disney purchase of Star Wars. She replied with a word I can’t repeat here, so read the tweet at your own risk!
– Second time, I made a joke that Beyonce blew out the power at the Super Bowel, and she retweeted me.David Paul Grove (Doc) – https://twitter.com/DavidPaulGrove/status/301380634985783296
– He was nice enough to give me a shoutout soon after I decided to follow him.I might as well share my interactions with the writers, too
Jane Espenson – https://twitter.com/JaneEspenson/status/310783518349336576
– I shared a link to an interview, where Rose McGowan complimented Jane’s writing. She thought it was cool!Kalinda Vazquez – https://twitter.com/DJKidsparkle/status/308437442636177408 (Warning spoiler)
– Kalinda was nice enough to let me know that she co-wrote this upcoming episode (218), which STILL doesn’t have a press release out!Christine Boylan – https://twitter.com/KitMoxie/status/313393301887803392 (Ep title spoiler)
– I had asked if episode 220 was her next episode, or if she had written another upcoming episode before that.[adrotate group="5"]March 19, 2013 at 5:04 am #180814angiebelleParticipantOh, you are lucky! I have gotten a few replies from Jane Esperson. I asked if Belle had a Storybrooke identity or if she was a blank slate slate, and she said, “That is exactly the sort of question you should be asking- keep watching!” And then last week I applauded her for “The Miller’s Daughter” and she said “Thanks!”
I try to interact with the actors on Twitter all the time but have not yet gotten a reponse to my posts. Maybe one day!

http://www.oncephotos.shutterfly.comIt contains photos of Steveston (before staging), the town being staged for filming and photos from the actual filming (Episode 21).
March 20, 2013 at 1:09 am #181042angiebelleParticipantI just found this report from someone who had an amazing experience meeting Emilie de Ravin at Paleyfest:
http://sixbluemarbles.tumblr.com/post/44516990090/okay-so-the-story-of-my-emilie-adventure-atI am so envious. The more I read about how sweet and kind she is, the more I adore her. Often it is the kindness of an actor that makes me a fan even moreso than talent.
March 30, 2013 at 3:49 am #183277angiebelleParticipantYay!! I got my first reply! Today I tweeted a picture of a lipgloss color I bought called “Ruby Moon” to Meghan Ory who plays Ruby/Red, and she retweeted it and said “So cool :)” She knows I exist now!!

THIS WASN’T ME!But it made me laugh sooooo hard. It really shows the ehm… fangirl crazyness?(gotta put it mildly, right?) of some of the Hook fans out there.
Poor Colin, what must he think of us now? The one time he reaches out, and all his worst fears are confirmed. Part of me wants to tweet ‘Don’t worry, we are not all crazy, some of us can actually utter whole sentences in your presence…well probably”, but the other part thinks that might be misconstued and it’s best to leave the poor boy alone.
April 1, 2013 at 3:48 pm #183629angiebelleParticipantNo kidding- I figured out how to read replies on their twitter pages, and I saw people say things to Lana that they had tweeted her like 60 times begging for a tweet. I will not beg! I will not be one of those type of fans! I tweet to them periodically, but only when I actually have something to say. I don’t want them to think I’m crazy. I did write a long letter to the whole cast recently- I tried to make it a real letter with a conversational tone rather than a gushfest- told them things about myself I thought might interest them. How I wish I could get to know them as real people and not just enigmas!
I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday who said she doesn’t understand the idea of caring about meeting actors- they are just people. I replied that they are people who do what I wish I could do, and that from what I can tell, they all seem like really cool people that I’d want to hang out with even if they weren’t famous. I mean Ginnifer is a member of D23, the official Disney fanclub! I’m going to the D23 Expo in August.
At Paleyfest, I felt almost ashamed of being in that crowd of fans. Everyone was going nuts- practically trampling each other, surging forward, calling out their names, waving things to be signed in their faces etc. I know I’d have been deer in headlights in their shoes. I’ve had a small taste of it since I spent over 3 years as a Disney character performer. It’s like putting on the face of a celebrity and stepping out into the parks- people get so excited! And sometimes, they forget you are human. I’ve actually had someone hold me by the shoulders to grab a photo when I trying to leave. 🙄
April 1, 2013 at 5:53 pm #183657spinninggoldParticipantI always wonder what people are trying to achieve with such behaviour. I mean I have seen tweets saying “Robert marry me” Honestly, do they think he is gonna say yes? Besides the fact that he’s married, if somebody I didn’t know proposed to me out of nowhere I’d run a mile. It’s just so tacky
I must admit that every time Emilie de Ravin tweets, I like her more. Her concern for animal welfare and nature really make me love her as a person, and I’d love to talk to her.
But I know that’s not very likely to ever happen, and I respect the actors’ right to privacy. I would not want to be hounded all day either.April 1, 2013 at 6:05 pm #183660toothfairyParticipant@SpinningGold wrote:

Don’t bow down to human beings. They’ll disappoint you every time. These actors are human beings just like everybody else, and are subject to the same moral codes as anybody else. Our society treats these people like they have to be tiptoed around, like they’re gods, or like they have their own special privalges preset due to some higher place in society. None of this is true. Like anybody else, they, myself, nobody is above reproach. To behave in any other way would be disingenuine. Colin O’Donoghue needs to be a bit more shall we say…..unselfish. I like Colin, don’t get me wrong, but….When Lana, the EvilRegal died last week. Don’t you think he could have retweeted condolences? There’s nothing that shows up on his page that isn’t somehow directly, or indirectly related to himself. It really shows a lot about who a person is, in how they relate with other people. He needs to answer his fans. Not all the time, but maybe every once in a while. Maybe something in his profile stating he can’t answer everybody. Maybe all he needs is structure. Anybody needs that, or these things can have a way of taking over our lives. Maybe his profile needs to state he can’t tweet everybody, but will answer 10 fans say, every other Friday from 4:00-4:45 CST. That would provide method to eliminate madness.
