Mrs. Darling (as she is commonly referred) is a loving wife and mother, but not demonstratively so. She is said to have a kiss that she holds in the right corner of her mouth, which is reserved for one person, who is neither her husband nor any of her three children. It is later said that her kiss looks very much like Peter Pan. Mrs. Darling’s story is played in Peter and the Starcatchers, where her name is changed to Molly, which was a nickname for Mary in her day.
What does this mean I never heard of this before ❓

I do like this speculation about the Pan Shadow being caught by Bae….but I also have another idea.
Rumpel says to Bae that what Rumpel is (the Dark One) doesn’t “mix well” with fairy magic. What if the Pan shadow is something that was created when Bae fell through the vortex, like the magical part of himself was spliced off and sent somewhere else, while the non-magical part of Bae was sent on to London?
Crazy theories may be crazy…but they’re fun!I also really like this because it would keep NealFire Pan alive. And then we could combine the two theories:
Bae’s shadow was ripped away from him as he fell through the portal. The shadow is the magical part of Bae, let’s say. It became it’s own mischievous entity. It was captured by Hook but is constantly trying to reattach itself to Bae."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 2, 2013 at 6:05 pm #190681gypsyParticipantGypsy, I love the catch about Jellicoe and the Devil’s Shadow!
Thanks, TGK 🙂
When I saw that name on the cart, I wasn’t sure if it would mean anything, but, I thought it was an odd name.
At first I thought it may have been an anagram, like they used to throw at us in LOST, but it wasn’t.
Seems to be a connection, though 🙂
You know, as well as I do, that with these guys, ya never know what is a clue and what isn’t unless ya look into it!
Blink and ya might miss it lol 🙂May 2, 2013 at 6:10 pm #190683RumplesGirlKeymaster@Gypsy wrote:

I would fall out of my chair if someone who knows her refers to her as Tamara of Locksley.

There has to be a reason they are keeping it from us. They kept Graham’s last name from us for so long for roughly the same reasons.

Mrs. Darling went to NL when she was a young girl, just as Wendy’s daughter Jane went after Wendy grew up. They all fell for Peter thought not sure anyone’s going to want to fall for THE SHADOW. 😉

May 2, 2013 at 7:35 pm #190706SlurpeezParticipantSpeaking of shadows, have you all heard about a book called Peter and the Shadow Thieves?
Peter and the Shadow Thieves is a children’s novel that was published by Hyperion Books, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, in 2006. Written by humorist Dave Barry and novelist Ridley Pearson, the book is a sequel to their book Peter and the Starcatchers, continuing the story of the orphan Peter and his latest adventures with the Starcatchers…
The book starts three months after the end of Peter and the Starcatchers. Slank returns to the island with more of the Others, including a certain Lord Ombra, to reclaim the trunk of starstuff lost in the previous book. When they learn that the Starcatchers have taken the trunk back to England, they set sail for London. Peter follows, fearing for Molly’s safety, and with Tinker Bell’s help conceals himself on their ship.
Once in London, Peter does not know where to find Molly. After unpleasant encounters with beggars, traders and the police, Peter finally gets directions from J. M. Barrie to Lord Aster’s house, and rescues Molly from Lord Ombra in the nick of time. However, Louise Aster- Molly’s mother -has been kidnapped by the Others, and the children must find Lord Aster who is guarding the starstuff.
Meanwhile, back on the island, the pirates are hunting the Lost Boys. They capture the boys to use as bait for Peter, not knowing he is not on the island. In the end, Molly is saved by Peter, and she takes Peter to her old best friend’s house, where she introduces Peter to George, who soon become acquaintances….
Lord Ombra – Lord Ombra is the new villain in this novel. He is part man, part shadow, and he moves like liquid. He causes a chill to come over anyone he nears, because he is able to steal their shadow or possess them to read their thoughts and enslave them. Ombra is afraid of the light, but it aids him in capturing shadows. He is one of the greater “Others”. Lord Ombra is supposedly destroyed by a brilliant flash of light that breaks him into millions of tiny shadows. The name Ombra is derived from the French word for “shadow”.
Weird, right?
Peter Pan is still a hero. The book takes place with young Molly (short for Mary) and before she meets George, well before the Darling children are born. Normally, I’d dismiss such spin-off series as credible sources of inspiration, but this book is published by Hyperion Books, which is owned by Walt Disney. ABC is also a collaboration of Disney, so theoretically, Adam and Eddy could’ve been inspired by Lord Ombra and “The others” who are part of the island of Neverland (sounds a bit Lost-esque, though I never watched it).
