Okay, timeline-wise, ickle Killian stuff happens pre-Milah, pre-Dark One therefore (wow, just realized that 305 has the earliest stuff we’ve seen now, and zero Rumple…unusual!), so that means that Pan was in Neverland BEFORE he went to the EF to toy with Rumple & Bae in 304. So at that time he wasn’t trapped, and he wasn’t aging.
BUT. Maybe since then, maybe something to do with Rumple/Bae/Hook at some point, he was forced to drink the water and became trapped (knowingly, as he had to have known about it BEFORE he would have been trapped in this scenario, since he warned Killian before he went to the EF to deal with Bae/Rumple). Maybe that’s why he sends the shadow for children. Maybe that’s why he needs the heart of the truest believer–to escape Neverland.

Oh, I love the idea of him having drank the water and now he can’t leave! Good thinking, Keb.
He probably liked the place more when he still had the freedom to leave, so maybe he got dreamshaded and had to drink the water, but he loved it in NL, so that’s cool, he didn’t mind if he was trapped there, but once he actually was trapped there, he grew to resent the place. Pan doesn’t like being told what to do, so being bound to NL in such a definite way is potentially a pet peeve that could have grown into resentment, and maybe now he wants to leave.
Maybe the setup with one of Emma’s parents getting poisoned, (they were the only ones having poison arrows shot at them during that fight) was because Pan knew there were good odds that Hook would use the water to cure Charming, and because they’re not ever gonna want to leave one of Emma’s parents behind, they will have to find a way to make it possible for Charming to leave, which means that then Pan will be able to leave as well.
I think the events of Manhattan are the earliest we’ve seen timeline wise. Hook’s not being hunted as a pirate which suggests he hasn’t got a reputation as a pirate yet since he easily strolled into the tavern in Rumple’s village.

I agree. I think Hook was only a pirate for a few years before he ran into Milah. And Bae was about 8 then(?). So Rumple injures himself in the same war that Hook and Liam will later be trying to stop by finding the plant.

But while I think it’s ambiguous as to whether Bae was born before Killian turned pirate, it’s got to be close. So…yeah, we’ll stick with Bae’s birth coming first just cuz narratively I like that better.

If PP did drink the water and that’s why he can’t leave then it occurred AFTER Rumple became the Dark One and I don’t know why he would drink it then unless he was injured and decided, like Charming, to face the consequences.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"In 3×4, Rumple told Baelfire that he’d grown up with Peter, but that Pan had since become an immortal, keeping him young while Rumple had grown up. Some event happened such that Pan became immortal but he could still leave NL, making me think think that he never drunk of the fountain of youth. Otherwise, he would’ve been unable to leave NL for the EF. PP is attuned to every grain of sand on the island, and I think the same magic which flows in NL flows in his veins. So, wherever PP goes, the magic of NL literally goes with him because it courses in his veins, keeping him forever young. Pan might be even be cursed much like Rumple is cursed as the Dark One.

Yeah, the timeline tells us that he couldn’t have drunk it unknowingly, and that he was already Pan of Neverland before he became the Pied Piper. Both interesting tidbits.
