Ok, then what about:
Being the representation of pure evil, Chernabog does not possess a dominate personality like other Disney Villains. However, most material outside of Fantasia depicts Chernabog as a ruthless monster, feared by all who encounter him. He is the most powerful villain walt Disney ever created for that reason. Many of Chernabog’s appearances also show him to be somewhat comedic, as seen in The Wonderful World of Disney, and House of Mouse. His power is shown to be incredibly demonic, being able to unleash hellish realms and spirits.
Chernabog raises his arms one final time, and closes his wings, protecting himself from the sunlight and becoming the peak of the mountain once more

Funny you girls mentioned the Duke, because I’ve begun to question if there’s more to him than we’ve been led to believe. For all the constant suspicion that the Blue Fairy may be this big mastermind, it was really the Duke’s war with the ogres that put all the events of the show in motion, a war that took many years and a great body toll when it could’ve ended very quickly if only he ordered Zoso to crush the opposition; Rumple certainly had no trouble to do it once he became the Dark One. Also, the Seer was conveniently positioned in the front lines when Rumple needed to hear all her words of doom and then mysteriously disappeared once her job was done. Odd much?
Here’s a thought-provoking thought: what if Peter Pan IS the Duke?
Yea, there must have been other seers telling the Duke what the future is and how to do it.
June 13, 2013 at 3:41 pm #198265RumplesGirlKeymasterI think if there is more to the Duke then it’s more likely that he is being played by THO/PP same as everyone else. The Duke had an actual castle he was living in and I don’t think PP can leave NL, only his shadow. can.
I’m not sure what you’re trying to say about Chernabog, HappyEndings. Are you suggesting they are the same, cause I don’t know if they’ll confuse the PP myth anymore. They might parallel the two, but that’s about it.

The Duke had a castle, but we haven’t seen him living there (actually, we haven’t seen him at all!) . I was thinking that could be Peter’s father’s castle, and he’s using the title he inherited to command the events in FTL from Neverland.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm. I suppose the Lost Ones are similar to people who are loyal to noblemen. And they could be the “friends” of PP who went with him when he left FTL. I don’t know. I’m not 100% sold, I still think the Duke is very minor player who came up just because they needed someone ordering children to the front line.

Hmmm, I guess it’d make Peter too much of a monster if he WAS the Duke, yeah. In any case, I think the Duke is a better choice for bigger mastermind than the always mentioned Blue Fairy since, like I said, he put the events that led to Rumple becoming the Dark One and losing Bae in motion. π
June 13, 2013 at 4:16 pm #198269HappyEndingsSpectatorI still think the “Duke’s Castle” is the Home Office and the reason why PP can’t return to FL is that he needs Henry’s body to attach to in order to return to FL which is PP’s real home.
The notion of a boy who would never grow up was based on J.M. Barrie’s older brother, who died in an ice-skating accident the day before he turned 14, and thus always remained a young boy in his mother’s mind. The “boy who wouldn’t grow up” character has appeared at a variety of ages.

Found this to be interesting too:
In the adaptation of Peter Pan by French comic artist Loisel, Peter Pan is a bastard child and is kicked out of the house by his abusive mother. He does not have a good relationship with her; he tries to win her love by procuring gold for her from Neverland, yet she rejects him countless times. She is later murdered, but Peter Pan eventually forgets her death and seems to remember his mother as a kindhearted, beautiful woman and believes she is still alive; the series also implies that Hook is his father, as Hook has a photo of Peter’s mother, but this point is never developed in the series.
Sounds like Bae and his mom huh

The problem with your last bit is that while we do mention the BF a lot more when it comes to the big mastermid, the Duke is so minor we’ve only heard about him maybe once or twice. The BF has connections to many many stories and has proved herself to be very suspicious, thus why so many of us are on Sneaky Fairy is Sneaky boat. The Duke’s only role was to be the person in charge of the war, who was doing a very bad job of it and controlling the Dark One. They needed someone to be controlling Zoso so that he would be desperate enough to trick Rumple, so for that they needed some kind of warlord.
I would by that PP’s real home is FTL but I think he is much older than Rumple AND the Duke. I think he is as old as the BF. PP sent the BF to FTL to make sure his plans came about and thus they need to be from roughly the same time period and we know (or at least have been told) that the BF is older than Rumple, probably as old as the Dark One’s curse itself.

Honestly, connection to so many stories is hardly a testment of guilty to me, it just means that she’s the default fairy they use whenever they want good magic to play a role in the story. The only moment that she’s played a somewhat relevant role in defining future events was the Rumple/Bae one in “The Return” and even that one was more the fault of Rumple than her.

Right, sorry. Those two ideas were separate in my head, I should have made that more clear. I’ve been suspicious of her since Dreamy and it only solidified in The Return and The Stranger. She is very much the “default” fairy but it’s her actions when they use her that make her suspect, not that she has a lot of connections.
I just think that of the two, the BF and the Duke, the former is much more likely to be an evil mastermind given her past behavior (and to some extent the fact that she’s a much more established character)."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love" -
