Once Upon a Time’s first season will end soon, and there will be plenty to talk about. But what about the long months of summer when there will not be any new episodes!
We still plan to podcast, and we have some great ideas!
- Community feedback
- Rewatch and comment on episodes from a new perspective
- Interviews with the cast (already lining them up!)
- Sharing (and maybe even dramatizing) some of the notable fairy tales and characters
- Community guest hosts to discuss pet theories and unique perspectives
- Community “conference calls” with several members
What ideas would you add to this list?
Sunday nights are only for initial reactions, so our podcast would continue weekly or biweekly.
[adrotate group="5"]I’ve been getting so many new insights out of re-watching prior episodes, it appears to me like a treasure trove for more podcasts. In addition to catching lots of small details in the scenes, props and costumes, it’s been fun to see if my “theory du jour” holds up when I look back on earlier events.
This suggests a strategy of focusing a hiatus podcast on one theory or one character, and opening up the exploration to include all relevant Season One episodes.

Exactly! And this will need the community’s help, by suggesting content for these episodes and helping collect the relevant links, forum posts or summaries, and other points. We’ll schedule these podcasts so everyone knows what is coming.
Yay!! I’m so excited! I was trying to figure out what I was going to do to get through the hiatus. I was having nightmares of the Forum going “cold” and having no Podcasts so I am game for anything. Cast interviews would be super! I’m up for rewatching episodes for character discussion (I tend to randomly rewatch episodes or portions of episodes to go back and do research or refresh my memory anyway).
Can’t wait to see what you decide to do!
I was planning on rewatching them, but instead of episode order, in Timeline order. For example, I’d start with Desperate Souls and watch up to the Pilot. Sure, Storybrooke will be a bit messed up, but we’ve already seen that chronological order.
My DVR only keeps up to five episodes, I know you can watch on hulu, IMDB has some episodes so I can’t watch them in order that the stories appear in the FT timeline 🙁
Phew, I was worried there was not going to be a podcast over the break! I think the wiz’s idea to focus on one character during a particular podcast is great. Also, there have been tons of interesting theories we never have time to mention down at the forums. So it would be nice to give everyone there the credit they deserve and discuss some of those theories.
Very relieved I have this podcast to help me survive the long summer hiatus 😀

You mean like my theory that David and Regina end up getting together by the end of the season??? Does Regina throwing herself at David count??? 😆
