“The evil queen seeks help from her mother Cora with the dark curse; While the backstory of a young Snow White is revealed. Mary Margeret's past comes back to haunt her.”
[adrotate group="5"]February 27, 2012 at 12:47 pm #137746hjbauParticipantIs this real? Mary has no past.
February 27, 2012 at 5:34 pm #137757SlurpeezParticipantIf this is true, it seems to me that the stable boy may be the character that Regina was going to wed. Also, Mary Margaret may have a past in the sense that she, as Snow White, revealed the Evil Queen’s secret, which has repercussions in Storybrooke.

February 27, 2012 at 8:26 pm #137770hjbauParticipantI guess that is what it could mean Slurpeez if it is real. It just seems strangely worded. Though these things usually are.
February 29, 2012 at 12:32 pm #137874SlurpeezParticipantFirst photo of EQ and her mother, Cora, from episode 18:
Series Creators Kitsis and Horowitz have stated that evil is not born, it is created. Barbara Hershey will appear as Cora in a multi episode arc that will play out into season two. She has an interesting connection to Rumplestiltskin and may have a dubious agenda of her own. Her story will reveal just why and how Regina became so evil and cold hearted.
“Girls say they’ll never grow up to be like their mothers, but evil comes from somewhere,” says executive producer Edward Kitsis. “Cora would look at the mother from Black Swan and think she was weak.”

February 29, 2012 at 12:39 pm #137877miaParticipantThat sounds seriously scary. The mother in Black Swan was really horrible … The whole film was a nightmare as it is … (Really good acting, though.)
I bet Regina used to be a really sweet girl, but the influence of her mother changed her. And of course her lost love.
March 10, 2012 at 3:54 pm #138555SlurpeezParticipantHere is another short description for ep. 18, airing on April 1 (aka April Fool’s Day): “Emma keeps searching for evidence to prove Mary Margaret’s innocence in Kathryn’s murder; the root of the evil queen’s disdain for Snow White is revealed.”
Guest starring in the episode are Anastasia Griffith (Kathryn is back? Or is it Abigail?), Meghan Ory (Ruby), Tony Perez (The Evil Queen’s father Henry), Barbara Hershey (the Evil Queen’s Mother), Giancarlo Esposito (Sidney), Alan Dale (King George), Noah Bean (The Stable Boy), Richard Schiff (King Leopold), and Bailee Madison (Young Snow White).

March 10, 2012 at 3:57 pm #138558miaParticipantKing George AND King Leopold. That’ll be interesting.
Btw, we needn’t use the spoiler tags in the spoiler threads. hjbau posted asked about it and Daniel said it is redundant (rightly so).

Okay, for sure, we’re going to see Regina before she was Evil Regina. Look at how covered up she is!
I have to admit, I’m not sure how I feel about meeting Regina’s mom, who sounds more like a conniving, manipulative, power hungry mother. She reminds me of Sylar’s mom in Heroes, during the 1st season. Which now, I’m starting to think of more as a trope. Making the mommies evil so we feel bad for the children.
