THe reason I can’t PIcture him Hurting her Is his cgarcter in the mvie and most of the Verisons of :the Tale he was devoted To his Daughter in most other Verisons Daughters sometimes sonstoo in other verisons

I completely agree. I don’t think Mo/Maurice would purposely hurt his daughter. I mean, look at how protective he was of her in the first scene of Skin Deep.

I just can’t imagine Moe’s reaction, especially if he’s innocent. Here is his sweet daughter who sacrificed herself, reunited in Storybrooke just to tell her father that she’s in love with the the guy who took her away in the first place. From that angle, I can see all the controversy and dislike against “Beauty and the Beast”, even though it’s still my favorite.

I think he’ll be scared for Belle. I can see him perhaps going to Charming or Snow saying that Rumple has put a spell on Belle or something. Maurice then might kidnap Belle for her own good which will set Rumple off trying to get her back and then Belle will be caught in the middle of the conflict between her father and Rumple.

Knowing that Charming is aware of Rumple having a “True Love” and then Belle showing up, I wonder if he would be inclined to actually help. Rumple helped him find his true love, I would hope Charming would repay that debt But then that’s the the Rumple/Charming fangirl in me.

Rumple told Charming that Belle had died because at the time he believed it to be true. Rumple also never referred to Belle by name so Charming may think that Rumple is trying to replace his lost love with Belle, not realising that Belle is Rumple’s lost love.
