I was thinking about how many different ways exist to travel between lands/realms.
And I would say, there are three different kind of ways:

    • 1. Portals(magic beans; the hat; the wardrobe; the looking glass)
    • 2. Body transport(the dark curse; the slippers [assumed])
    • 3. Soul travelling(the sleeping curse; the wraith)

Well, every way is different and maybe all of them have limitations. Magic beans just can open a portal for a limited time. The number of people that go into the hat must come out. The looking glass just can bring someone to wonderland. The wardrobe has a maximum of two people.

But are there some other ways? How many people are/was able to travel between worlds?
I mean: Frankenstein e.g. wasn’t so much surprised about that fact that Rumple was colored. I think, his reaction was just: “Oh a foreigner.”
So at least did he know about other lands (with colour) before he met Rumple.
Another example would be Smee who mentioned that the bean he had was brought from another land.
So it seemed that there other ways. Has anyone any ideas/theories about possible portals?

I was thinking e.g. about portals on certain places which are very dangerous to reach, but are permanent connections between two different worlds. Similar like an entrance to an underworld.

I wonder if Rumple has a portal specifically for A Land Without Color, or if he has the ability to portal jump without any object (aside from no magical worlds such as our’s)?

I thought it was the door to Wonderland that has the number of people in/out restriction, not the Hat.

    Don't grow up. It's a trap.

    It is the hat rules.
Maybe they will adding in the future Bridges. A portal that has no such rules and easy to reach for the people in Storybrook and is fixed in ET.

No, because remember when Rumple told David that portal jumping was just outside his area of expertise? Furthermore, he employed Jefferson to portal jump for him.

For me, I’m really curious to see if they’ll bring in other portal jumpers. It seems like Smee was able to travel between worlds fairly easily, but he didn’t have a magic hat like Jefferson. (unless there’s more to that red hat that meets the eye….)

Dorothy, the White Rabbit, or Alice could be portal jumpers too. I also want to point out Peter Pan traveled between worlds either on his own and/or with the help of fairy dust–so either he’s got a very special brand of magic, or fairy dust can lead to portal jumps.

( Compass was used to guide thru the portal in order to get you where you want to go. Are we sure the looking glass only goes to Wonderland? Is that a certainty? The well was a portal; that was how Emma and Snow came thru. Hook’s ship also was used to sail thru the bean portals VIA WATER. The bean could open a portal going DOWN (Bae) or going UP the bean stalk (the giant.)

I still think their is a labyrinth under Storybrooke Library elevator that would connect to Enchanted Forest / Fairy Tale Land. How else could Snow’s coffin be down there? I just think that no one has traveled far enough in the maze that is down there to find the connection.

I’m wondering if that pocket watch that was given to Gerhardt will come back into play as being a portal device, (similar to Jefferson’s hat), that was used by the White Rabbit. If, say, Viktor’s grandfather (original owner of the watch) had been the White Rabbit, then he’d know about jumping between worlds, which is why he didn’t freak out when he saw Rumple.

I don’t think the wraith is just assumed, I think we know that it takes the soul somewhere else. That has always been my clear impression from “Broken.”

I was under the impression that Victor Frankenstein could only see in black & white.

I don’t think so, when then they first saw each other Victor know that he was not from there.

    Victor: A foreigner.

Rumpelstiltskin: What tipped you off? My rosy complexion? Yes, I’ve seen nothing of your drab little land yet, but, I am interested in your work.
