When Graham and Emma are following the wolf to the mausoleum, the camera quickly pans over a tombstone with the following written on it:

In Loving Memory of Norman Crane
    Jan. 12, 1937 – July 17, 1999
    Born in Brooklyn, New York

    Interesting connections:

    – Norman Rockwell did some paintings of Ichabod Crane
    – 1999 was the year that Tim Burton’s movie “Sleepy Hollow” came out
    – “The Old Stone House of Ichabod Crane” is located in Brooklyn, New York

I completely missed that. Thanks for pointing that out. That’s one of my favorite things about watching the episodes. I love trying to find nods and homages

With all the Sleepy Hollow fandom taking off (of which I am a part) I dug this post out to share as there are a lot of Oncers that are now SleepyHeads as well and I found another connection (it was bugging me, I had everything on the tombstone figured out except for the 1937 part). It turns out, 1937 was the year that Norman Rockwell painted Ichabod Crane.

Thought I’d add & bump it in case there are any other SleepyHeads around here besides me. 🙂

I like the show thus far. It’s a little kooky and it feels kinda Fringe-lite, but Crane and Abbie have got killer partner chemistry. Not sure if it’s ship worthy yet given his somewhat still alive but trapped but also kinda dead, wife (who wear way too many black diaphanous dresses to NOT be evil).
