But if this is the story of Bae’s first few days in NL, then Freya being Wendy doesn’t make sense, especially if Bae isn’t Pan.
**EDIT**
I made this point a page back but I think it got lost. Another thing that doens’t make sense. Timeline wise, how does Hook meet Bae in NL when he comes through the bean hole when Hook and Milah were traveling around FTL when they ran into Rumple for the second time, at least a few years AFTER he lost Bae. Timeline issues guys. They are what keep me up at night.

Peter Pan didn’t cut off Hook’s hand….maybe he didn’t fly to the Darling’s window.
Perhaps they arrived in NL some completely other way, then she met Peter after she already had some adventures.Hard to say how they will adjust the tale for Once.

That’s true. I just really want her to be Ariel. 😆

Yeah I wondered that too, but thought it might just be some dodgy wording in the blurb, so am gonna wait and see what actually happens before I lose sleep over this one.

Peter Pan’s gonna have nothing left to do soon if they keep taking his trademarks away from him. 😛 It’s true that they could tweak the story of the Darling kids however they want, and maybe they stumbled onto a portal and wound up in NL all on their own. There are no other Darling kids listed as guest stars though. The guest stars we have listed include Bae, 2 of Hook’s crew, and a mystery girl. No Lost Boys, or brothers for Wendy to share scenes with, just a solitary mystery girl. Ariel is a better fit in my (admittedly biased) opinion.

I have two guesses.
1) Bae did come to our world first but somehow found a way of getting home. Instead of going back to the EF though, he somehow ended up in Neverland.
2) In The Crocodile, Smee (from memory) asked Hook where they were going when he opened up the portal. Hook replied ‘Neverland!’ indicating that he somehow already knew about it. Maybe he had been there before before, when Bae first came through?

Also, we’ve been led to believe that we won’t see Peter Pan this season, and how do you have the Darling kids around if you don’t also have Peter Pan around?
Well, they had Lancelot without Arthur and Guinevere, so I don’t see this as unlikely.
That situation was different though, because that was Lancelot after the Arthur and Guinevere stuff had happened, so they weren’t needed to tell this part of his story. But, assuming Freya’s character will be in the Neverland flashbacks, if Wendy is there, then Peter Pan has to be around at the same time, because she got there by flying with him. If she’s in the present day in SB instead, I’m not sure how Wendy would fit into that, because she supposedly returned to our world quite some time ago.
We also had Maleficent without Sleeping Beauty, Sleeping Beauty without Maleficent, Cinderella without her Stepmother and the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts without Alice.
The point is, we’ll be seeing a flashback on Baelfire’s POV whose focus will be the relationship he had with Hook; it’s possible, maybe even likely, that Hook/Bae had some sort of surrogate father/son relationship when he first arrived at Neverland, which means he lived in Hook’s ship during his first years there. We know, however, that it ended somehow, and finding Wendy as a prisioner of the Captain could very well have been it. Bae releases her, they escape, we get to be introduced to Wendy without necessarily introducing Peter or the other Darling children.

Just because we’ll be seeing Bae’s arrival in NL doesn’t mean the episode flashbacks will take place in the timespan of a few days. Episodes like the Pilot, The Price of Gold, Skin Deep and The Miller’s Daughter show that we can easily have a time jump of months or even years between two flashback scenes.

That’s a VERY good point. We have to remember that, while this PR seems legit, it may not be, since it was posted in IMDB of all places by someone claiming to work for ABC.

Neal told Emma: “It’s a long story. Short version, is this world wasn’t my first stop when I left home.”

Ah, the debate the divides the fandom, had Hook been to Neverland before or not! I actually wouldn’t be surprised if he’d been there before, because he did seem very sure about where he wanted to go.
Still not sure that it would match up in this instance though.
Milah left with Hook when Bae was, what, 7ish, (I’m crap at estimating kid’s ages)?
Bae went down the beanhole when he was 14.
At some point after that, Rumple killed Milah and then Hook promptly left for NL.
So for Hook to have gone to NL after Bae had, he’d have to have gone with Milah. And Hook knew Bae there. Which would mean Milah would have seen Bae there too. And it certainly didn’t seem like that had happened in The Crocodile when they were discussing her having left Bae.@Demileto wrote:

That would be a cool way to work Wendy in on her own!
As for my own headcanon, I’ve dreamed up that Bae knew Ariel both as a mermaid, (sort of filling the Scuttle role from the Disney movie, as the one she questioned about how the human world worked), and as a human, (he’s got experience being around mute girls), which would work with any NL flashback from Bae’s POV.
April 28, 2013 at 2:40 pm #189310RumplesGirlKeymasterMy headcannon of Hook and Neverland goes a little something like this:
1) Hook went to NL as a young man where he became the Captain of the Jolly Roger (why he went to NL, I have no clue but I think we can explore that question in S3)
2) He left NL for FTL for adventure/a change/ to pick up new crew? He met Milah.
3) He and Milah traveled around FTL for a few years, never going to NL, but always intending to eventually.
4) Rumple becomes the Dark One and loses Bae
5) Rumple and Hook fight, Rumple kills Milah
6) Hook returns to his home of NL to plan his revenge against Rumple.
7) Meets Bae when he returns to NL, Bae having already been there for a few years and is either a Lost Boy OR part of the crew Hook left behind.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 28, 2013 at 2:46 pm #189311laurieanneParticipantI like it, RG! Here’s another idea:
1. Milah leaves Rumple to be with Hook (Bae is around 7)
2. Hook and Milah go to Neverland
3. Bae goes through the bean portal and ends up in Neverland (age 14)
4. Hook and Milah return to FTL where they meet Rumple as the Dark One, ending in Milah’s death and Hook’s return to NLThe only reason I haven’t thought this could happen is the exchange between Milah and Rumple where he asks her how she could leave Bae. But she could still regret leaving Bae and still could have seen him in NL. Not sharing that information with Rumple could have been something Bae asked her to do or perhaps she just thought it wise to leave out the fact that she had seen their son, and he hadn’t.

Hmmm, maybe he was already 2nd in command on the Jolly Rodger, and their Captain took them to NL, and while there he died, and Killian was instantly promoted. Blindly speculating about this stuff is fun, but I’m really, really ready to see what they actually do with it all.
